Is the rumored $100 GameBoy Micro price too much? We’re thinking it’s a wee bit high ’cause for $30 bucks more you could score a DS. Plus we just love our SP’s so we’re probably not the market they’re going for. [Source: Popular Science]
Here’s what were looking forward to playing in the coming months. Notice 4 of the 6 are on the DS. (Do we need to even mention the first one?) Nintendogs Electroplankton New Super Mario Bros. Lost in Blue Gun Let us know what we’re overlooking. (This was an impulse post)
Revolution will be to online console gaming what the iPod has been to the portable music industry. That’s right. The more we read about Nintendo’s plans for online play, the more apparent it becomes. Mp3 players were around way before the iPod. Why do iPods sell so well? Because Apple nailed it. Look to Nintendo to do the same for online console gaming with easy setup and free service....
One of the best things about my Wind Waker pre-order was that I got a fancy little trailer and bonus disc with some playable Zelda classics about a month before the game shipped. Any word on if this will be the case for Twilight Princess? If so, how soon before the November launch can we expect an announcement?
If the DS were launched after the PSP, would Nintendo’s handheld still be as successful? The answer to this question could provide useful insight to how the Revolution might fair against the PS3 and 360. More innovative. Sooner to market. The DS had both. The Revolution will have the first but not the latter. The real question then becomes: does timing affect a console’s success, or do...
Who actually decided to purchase a PSP because of the mp3 or movie capabilities? Stick to games, guys: it’s what were here for. – some guy named Matt Well said. Makes Nintendo’s game-only strategy sound ingenious. (see CD-i post)
Do you remember this article? Back on March 1, CNN speculated that the GBA successor would be shown this year. Well it turned out to be a new model in the form of the Micro rather than the speculated successor. So what about a true successor? How soon might we know more about it? Which leads me to ask, what should Ninny do with the next installment of the GameBoy? Would a portable GameCube with fo...
The DS is still rolling. Nintendo is on target to meet it’s year end goal of 2.8 million units worldwide, just passing the 2 million mark. What do you attribute that success to? [Source: Game Shout]
That’s right. Those cute little puppies will hit the States on August 22. Pet, talk to, even train your puppy while using all of the DS’s incorporated technology. You can even put the game in “bark mode” so when someone else with a DS walks by, it will bark. Will you buy this game? [Source: A+E Interactive]
GameSpy has released their top 25 games of all-time for the GameCube. There are some nice picks in the (BG&E @ 7) but I think it’s a little preemptive being that Zelda Twilight Princess still isn’t out. They should release their final top five sometime today. What would be your top 5 GameCube games up until now?
Gamespot has posted a very favorable preview of the upcoming Gunstar Super Heroes for the GBA. Set for an October 25 stateside launch, the game was developed by the same fellas that did Astro Boy. What’s your thoughts on this game? Read the Preview
What’s the difference between a game publisher and a game developer? My guess is that a publisher funds and oversees the game while the development house employs the programmers and designers to build the desired result. If that is the case, why would Nintendo, in the case of Minish Cap outsource the development to Flagship (Capcom) rather than develop it with one of their in-house teams? No...
