Eight Mario clones play the GameCube to promote the new Mario Party 7 release in Nippon. I like the look of it but it’s always hit or miss with Nintendo ads. It would be nice to see them hire a new ad agency come Revolution time. [Source: Kotaku]
It is being reported that THQ will only be devoting 20% of their resources to develop Revolution games while PS3 and 360 are getting 80%. While this is probably due to the lack of Revolution specs and playable games, you gotta hope this isn’t the case like the N64 and GC before it. On a good note, French developer Atari announced last week in a press conference they will be supporting the Re...
We learned back in September that Nintendo would be launching a new mobile phone service allowing users to download news alerts, wallpaper, and whatnot. Nintendo fans can access the goods by typing in Nintendo.jp from their phones. The service will officially launch in Japan on November 1. No word on a US release as of yet. Would you be interested in this service? [Source: DS-X2]
Here’s the goods on Nintendogs best friends edition courtesy of Flickr images. Nothing new, and I’m not too sure what to think of the pink, but it’s a nice reminder of just how good this game is. I really need to go feed and shower my pups…lads probably ran away on me. [Additional Images: 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 · 5]
(1) Chrome wavebird wireless controller. $30. (2) chrome wavebird wireless controllers. $60. Rounding out the quartet? Priceless.
Japan’s latest Famitsu Weekly showcased another developer roundtable for the Revolution controller. In it, Killer 7 producer, Gouichi Suda (or Suda 51) confirmed that his Grasshopper team is finalizing plans for an original Revolution exclusive. He didn’t spill any beans, but did say that it would be very extreme. It was also reported that “the game will focus heavily on direct i...
The GameCube is the only console, to my knowledge, that features easter eggs. I recently came across these again having not used ’em since the first night I fired up my Cube some five years ago (more to come on that experience). While they’re like the Contra code of old for most Cubites, take a trip down memory lane or try ’em for the first time: Children Laughing – Hold th...
Yikes! Total votes were cut in half this week. I guess I better get on the ball with a more creative survey. Well the Action/Adventure genre wins this one. That goes without saying ’cause friend of adventure equals friend of Nintendo. But alas, they’re all good eh? Thanks for “placing your bets” and let us know this week which Nintendo system you like best.
I’ve recently been making good use of my DS headphone jack and have been blown away by the whole experience. This just might be the first time I’ve ever played a video game with headphones since I never bought the SP headphone adapter. Could stereo still be this good with all the existing surround sound formats? My ears are living proof that it is. Any other stereo or headphone gamers ...
[Update: Confirmed as a hoax. We should have held off on this one.] GameHelix, a video game news toolbar available for download is stating they’re received exclusive information directly from Nintendo regarding the Revolution’s launch. They claim it will drop next May, worldwide and will include “one last secret” that “will be shown to the world at E3” this appa...
Ranked 14th on 1up’s all-time top games for the NES, Duck Hunt makes its appearance on the walls of some random building. Ready. Aim. Fire.
In lieu of the excellent, albeit, short World Series between the winning ChiSox and Astros, what is the best baseball game of all time? Bases Loaded? Baseball Stars? All-Star Baseball? Ken Griffey Jr Presents? You make the call…
