New Revolution Info

Nintendo of Europe’s Jim Merrick recently was interviewed by Spanish site Meristation and has revealed some new information on Revolution. Firstly, Jim confirmed what some of us assumed. The wifi dongle will indeed be compatible with the Revolution. Speaking of wifi, Merrick revealed that, similar to DS Download Play, Revolution owners would be able to play Wifi multiplayer titles with only ...

Mario Revolution to be Unveiled December 2?

According to Spong, Shigeru Miyamoto will give a keynote address at the Digital Interactive Entertainment Conference on December 2. It is rumored he will unveil Mario Revolution (128) during his 30 minute presentation in Kyoto. That would make my day if true, but alas, we never like sourcing Spong for obvious reasons. Take it for what it’s worth. [Source: Spong]

Revolution Controller Complaints: Part II

It’s been a month and a half since Nintendo unveiled the Revolution controller. While the majority is very enthused and optimistic about its unique features, some are still concerned with the console’s ability to deliver traditional control schemes. How will I still play Madden? Does the remote have enough face buttons? What about multiplatform titles? All great questions, but the answ...

$79 Micro?

Let’s be honest. The Micro is one fine piece of hardware, and it recieved very good reviews after its US September launch. The only complaint in nearly every product review was that the $99 price is too much to ask. Will that change this holiday season? It’s rumored that Nintendo has been soliciting feedback on it’s Micro pricing. Though no sales figures have been released, the c...

Nintendo Spotting

Old skool meets new. Always nice to see folk in public enjoying a little Nintendo. But what could he be playing…

Gamestop: March Revolution Pre-release

Gamestop.com has 5 listed Revolution games available for prerelease on March 1, 2006. Though their disclaimer says “content is based on the best available information on price, and release date” this is coming from a legitimate game source. They are using the term “pre-release” which in no way implies an actual release. But it couldn’t be too far off. This does happen...

New Mario Party Ad

Eight Mario clones play the GameCube to promote the new Mario Party 7 release in Nippon. I like the look of it but it’s always hit or miss with Nintendo ads. It would be nice to see them hire a new ad agency come Revolution time. [Source: Kotaku]

More of the Same?

It is being reported that THQ will only be devoting 20% of their resources to develop Revolution games while PS3 and 360 are getting 80%. While this is probably due to the lack of Revolution specs and playable games, you gotta hope this isn’t the case like the N64 and GC before it. On a good note, French developer Atari announced last week in a press conference they will be supporting the Re...

Nintendo Mobile out November 1

We learned back in September that Nintendo would be launching a new mobile phone service allowing users to download news alerts, wallpaper, and whatnot. Nintendo fans can access the goods by typing in Nintendo.jp from their phones. The service will officially launch in Japan on November 1. No word on a US release as of yet. Would you be interested in this service? [Source: DS-X2]

Nintendogs: Best Friends Ed.

Here’s the goods on Nintendogs best friends edition courtesy of Flickr images. Nothing new, and I’m not too sure what to think of the pink, but it’s a nice reminder of just how good this game is. I really need to go feed and shower my pups…lads probably ran away on me. [Additional Images: 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 · 5]
