Meetro is an Instant Messenger, which shows the proximity in miles how far away each user is from your location. When ported to the DS, you will be able to locate gamers around you while you are on the move. Will Nintendo’s wi-fi service be able to do the same thing? (I doubt by miles…) [Source: TechWack]
Man. There is so much hype around Nintendo’s Revolution. The way some media outlets talk about the system, you’d think Nintendo discovered perpetual motion. Which leads me to ask: Has hype about a game console ever been this big? While this is great for Nintendo, will they disappoint if they don’t “discover perpetual motion” in a gaming sense? Correct me if I’m ...
Down at the bottom right column of the site, you’ll see a new mini survey (mini is the new big). I’ll be periodically posting different ones if y’all are hip to the idea. If not, I’ll remove it quick like but hopefully it’s unobtrusive and provides a little more useless feedback for Infendo readers. Survey away!
Spong is reporting that Nintendo will reveal the Revolution in it’s entirety at the TGS in mid September. They are reporting with “100% certainty” so I guess they’re in good with Nintendo, right (yawn)? Do you think it fits within Nintendo’s strategy to release full system specs and unveil the controller at the show? Fits in with mine… [Source: Spong]
Kotaku has just posted the first pic of their Micro arrival via FedX. It gets sweeter every time I see one. Maybe plopping down the $99 bones might be worth it. I feel like I would be betraying my SP though… [Source: Kotaku]
Where did this game come from? I’ve never even heard of it but it looks really slick. Comment if you got ’em.
Wanna access a great game and don’t have a DS with Nintendogs? Fear not, I hereby present the inaugural retro game profile: Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA). This game is retro in every sense of the word, only it’s updated in a wickedly good way. Zero Mission was a re-release with upgraded graphics of Nintendo’s 1986 classic, Metroid on the NES. In addition to remixed graphics, it doe...
Just in time for post-season baseball, Nintendo is set to launch Mario Superstar Baseball on August 29. We recently got our hands on a demo and must say, we were way surprised by it. The game is very easy, entertaining, and get this, FUN. Even if you’re not a big Baseball fan (our euro friends) this game should deliver. In a matter of minutes, I had Mario pitching so much junk, koopa trooper...
Are you excited about Resident Evil on the DS? After experiencing the beauty that is RE4 on the GameCube, these graphics haven’t aged well. This is one game where I think visuals do matter, although RE4’s gameplay was off the hook. I could be wrong though being that they’ll mix in the touch screen. And maybe since announcing this Capcom is sure to release RE5 for the Revolution. ...
Gamer Lounge is saying that Nintendo’s Revolution controller “will provide resistance to being tilted. No doubt this is done by some application of a tilt sensor such as the one in WarioWare: Twisted combined with rumble technology.” I don’t know what there source is but this could definitely be a possibility. What do you think? [Source: Gamer Lounge]
Sure we’ve seen laser mouses and TV remotes, but an sd and Flash card reader from an NES controller? Clever and chique. [Source: Flickr]
Game Daily evaluates the Revolution specs and lays it all out. Fairly non-partial read with good insight on the processing power it takes to generate 720/dpi resolution as well as other pros/cons to the system. I wish we could evaluate that controller… [Source: Game Daily]
