How would you change the Zelda Franchise?

In Last week’s Nintendo Direct, Eiji Aonuma discussed that one of the driving forces for the new Zelda on Wii U is to rethink the conventions of the Zelda franchise. To me, Zelda is the best gaming franchise pound for pound, but I would certainly like to see Zelda Wii U change in a few areas. How would you change the Zelda Franchise? My thoughts are below.

Lego City Undercover Limited Edition Bundle

Fans of the Lego series will be excited to find that the Limited Edition Bundle will include both the game and  LEGO mini figure of Case McCain.  As ling as there is not a price difference, I think it is a pretty cool inclusion to the game.  However, It would be pretty cool to see a six inch version, or a mini playset. What are your thoughts on the bonus? Hit the jump for the full press release:

The state of Nintendo, and how the company will fare in 2013

Nintendo didn’t exactly have a banner year in 2012. After what I consider to be a very successful 2011 what with the launch of a new console and the release of a fantastic Zelda title, 2012 just didn’t live up to expectations, even with the launch of a new console in the Wii U. With that said, the Wii U and 3DS seem to be really hitting their stride, and it seems as if this year could ...

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is reborn in HD

Nintendo was full of surprises today during the Wii U-centric Nintendo Direct. Aside from the announcement of the long-awaited Wii U version of the Virtual Console, updates from Bayonetta 2, a new Yoshi title, and a teaser trailer for Monolith Soft’s newest RPG, Nintendo threw a proverbial curve ball in the form of a Wind Waker HD remake. Satoru Iwata and Zelda series produce Eiji Aonuma bri...

Nintendo To Remove Indie Dev Office Restriction?

In the latest of a few big steps towards making the eShop a not just viable, but maybe even preferable, platform for indie games studios Nintendo may be about to drop the somewhat archaic ‘office restriction’. Previously, to receive a Nintendo development kit a studio would need to prove it had an actual office space. In the past this was because any ‘quality’, mildly profe...

Wii U Art

One of my favorite things about the Wii U is the varied quality of artwork that members post.  Some show their frustration, some show their victories, some show their inner Michelangelo.  Below are some examples of what people have posted.  Kotaku posted many more on their page.  If you see some unique, funny, or out of this world posts, feel free to post them on our Facebook page.

Wii U Profits Boost Nintendo Stock

Some have wondered if the Wii U, after its short lifespan, can really hang with Sony and Microsoft.  The wonder turned to worry when stock levels were readily available around the holidays, unlike the original Wii console.  Some seemed to have lost faith in Nintendo before even playing the Wii U. For most of us die hard Nintendo fans, we never lost hope.  In fact, we drooled over the launch list, ...
