GameCube Europe has a great interview with Nintendo of Europe’s Jim Merrick. He answers a ton of questions regarding Nintendo’s new wi-fi service including third party games, network infrastructure, Mario Kart, etc. Well worth your time. Do you think Nintendo will deliver with their wi-fi play?[Thanks Vince]
[Update: Looks like this was a typo on Target’s part. We’re still buying though] Target is selling Nintendogs – Chihuahua for $14.99 on their Amazon site. No word if they will offer the same price in stores though. I’ll still spend the extra $15 bones for the Lab edition if that’s the case. [Source: Punch Jump]
Lots of talk about the DS and GC (Zelda) games, but what about the GBA? Sure we’ve got new hardware, but what about the games? The two that come to mind are Advance Tennis and DK: King of Swing. Are there any more on their way, if so, what’s on your radar? How long will Nintendo and third-parties publish for the system? One year? Two? Here’s hoping for many…
Forget the lame commercial, will Nintendogs move DS units here in the US? Will the game be as successful as it has been in Japan? It was interesting that not many of you noted the title on your DS Top 5. Any particular reason? I for one am pretty excited, but I’m a little biased as a dog lover living in a condo where I can’t sport a big ol’ lab. Here’s to dog loving tamagot...
Nintendo has launched their Gameboy Micro site, reminding us just how tiny this thing is. I swear it gets smaller everytime I see it. Let’s hope that $99 price gets smaller too.
Okay. We’re finally starting to feel a little better around here. Zelda is delayed, so we’ll rock it when it comes out next year. (man Nintendo, you gotta us wrapped around your finger… but you do make great games.) Speaking of games, what are the top 5 DS games both present and future? The DS buzz is catching like wildfire with even mass consumers interested in the system and it...
With the online plan we have, there’s no fee. It’s easy to use. There’s no setup for the player. …We wanted something that was safe, reliable, and didn’t cost the player anything. – Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo Amen to that.
GameBoy Micro gets a price tag of $99, play-yan is confirmed, Europe will get a new white GC bundle that won’t have Zelda on it this year, and both the Micro and DS get new colors. Overall good news for our friends in Europe, but nothing regarding the Revolution or that confounded controller.(Yeah, these guys look way excited…)[Source: Cube Europe]
If you’re still hanging on to the possibility that this is a rumor, it’s not (see 2006). Sure. We can commend Nintendo for delaying the game so they can make it better, if not near perfect. But this was their flagship. With that being the case, it’s frustrating to see them not capitalize on their business resources to see the game launch on time. But hey, we’ll still be anx...
Nintendo announced (in addition to the gut wrenching Zelda delay) that the Micro will be released Stateside on September 19 of this year. They haven’t announced an official price though. We’ll have more as it comes in along with our rant on the delay after we get our barings.[Source: Gamasutra]
[Update: This one’s official] CheapAssGamer via 4cr is reporting that the DS will get a price cut down to $129. Supposedly taking place on 8/21, you can also get an additional $10 off at Toys R Us. If true, there should be no reason not to get your DS on.
The new Zelda has been delayed until Spring 2006 (after March 31). That’s one heck of a delay and we’re not too happy. That’s all I’m saying about that. [Source: Everyone]
