Some enterprising individual took an old NES controller and turned it into a MP3 player. The controller buttons even work to control the music. Now if I could just mix this with the NES belt buckle, I’d be set. [Source: Boing Boing]
Resident Evil 4 wins Game of the Year at the 2005 Spike TV Video game awards. The title also picked up best graphics of the year even though it was released back in January. Must have been the graphical craftsmanship. Nice win for the GameCube console, though it’s not a first party game. Regardless, well done Capcom. [Source: Gamer Horizon]
In a recent interview with Mexican magazine Club Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aime drops hint of a Metroid movie adaption in the works. He went on to add that the Zelda series would be next to be adapted and after that possibly another Mario film. Putting aside the long history of bad video-games movie adaptions, I’m very excited about these possibilities. [Source: Hylia] Update: Looks like Club Ni...

Day 3 of Mario Kart was the best yet. I stood outside the Nintendo World Store for four (count em, 4) hours in the pouring rain just so my wifi-lacking self could play wifi. It was a good ol’ time. My first race of the day was a weird one versus 3 Yoshis. Felt like Paper Mario all of a sudden. Worldwide continues to be the spot for any race whatsoever, unless you have a hefty friends roster....

That’s easy to do with the handheld’s huge library of games but it’s interesting because that’s the only system he’ll play. No DS. No GameCube. No nothing. He grew up on the NES and SNES but lost interest in gaming when it started to creep into the 3D world. Rather than a Ninte...

That kinda blends in with what “they doin” now, but I think we can expect some more strategic changes as the Revolution release approaches. Any ideas? Thanks for voting and let us know how important Nintendo’s Wi-Fi service is to you in this week’s s...

A moderator on the Nintendo Forum has posted the following: “You are not permitted to share your NWC id or friend code on a post, in your profile, through PM, or in a sig. Please do not discuss other ways of sharing codes either. This policy was created by Nintendo of America and we have been asked to follow these rules.” That doesn’t make much sense. Why have a unique ID number,...

The latest information on Zelda: Twilight Princess is that the game will feature 100+ hours of gameplay. If that is the case, this will be longest Zelda ever and a nice finish for the GameCube. [Source: Joystiq]
