Zelda TP Is Long

The latest information on Zelda: Twilight Princess is that the game will feature 100+ hours of gameplay.

If that is the case, this will be longest Zelda ever and a nice finish for the GameCube.

  1. That would, as far as I can recollect, make this the single most in depth Nintendo first party title ever would it not?

I remember Final Fantasy X felt like it was ‘too long’ with all the side quests, but with a game like Zelda the game would be much more active, and generally action/adventure/RPG type games last 12-20 hours, so this would definatly be the first step to AARPG games becoming as vast as standard RPGs

Way to go big N, you make it worth our while to purchase your systems over and over and over and over and *goes to play SSBM*

  2. sorry for off-topic, but i was wondering if there is actually a chat feature in MKDS. is there?

  3. Sorry no Chat function in MKDS. As for LOZ TP, 100+ hours seems a bit much. But if the gameplay is solid I’m sure it will hold my attention.

  4. That would be a good idea as then they’d have a 10 star game that you can play on the revolution. What would be sweet is if the game, when played on the revolution, had upgraded textures and framerate.

  5. how can you say 100+ hours is too much?.. as long as the game/story is cool… i’d take even more… anyone weary of the whole turning into a wolf thing though?.. i wouldn’t be so much if you didn’t attack things with the hat of the guy that sat on your back… kind of a queer concept i think…

    Closed-minded Anons..

We were all worried about some super secret Rev controller functionality with Zelda that we forgot about the framerate and textures. Thanks for pointing it out.

  7. The Wind Waker took me 4-5 months to finish. So Twilight Princess will pretty much guarantee keeping me busy, no matter when the Rev comes out next year.

What might be cool is if I can start the new game on my Cube and then finish it up on the Rev!

  8. “The Wind Waker took me 4-5 months to finish.”

I was relly angry about how short Wind Waker was!!! I beat it in a week… 7 days!!!

I remember Ocarina taking me 3 months my first time, and majora’s mask 1 month ( I had to get every mask bfore I could beat it!!!)

I was one of the few not upset when they said they where delaying the release. I’d rather wait months more for an even better (and longer)Zelda. I hope it will calm my craving for Zelda for a long time.

Between me and my wife we have beaten all the Nintendo Zeldas except the two Oricals.

Can’t wait to have TP under my belt.

    ZElDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. The 100+ hours would seem to indicate a lot of side quests. If that is true, I wonder how long the core quest would be.

  10. I’m interested by some who say 100+ hours is too much, is there actually some sort of ideal gameplay length out of interest? Someone ought to do a study on that. Anyway back to the topic, wow that would make it a very long game and for casual gamers it would probably last forever! Still it’s a nice way to end the GameCube with style.

  11. 100+ hours definitely isn’t too long. Tales of Symphonia took me about 80 hours. And if you add the time that wasn’t included (because of dying and having to restart at a save point) I’m sure that was 100+. ANYWAY, it didn’t feel too long. I’m all for a crazy-long Zelda.

  12. My big thing is Epic Sagas. I loved reading LOTR because of the struggle to over come and how hard it was for the group you follow to make it trough the adventure.

At the end of Ocarina you see a cinematic that makes you feel like you are the worlds savior. Wind Waker didn’t leave me feeling that either, in fact they seemed to make the game around the fact that Ocarina was so awesome. Maybe the remake that comes with TP will make me feel better about that.

In A Link to the Past, you become a bunny when you are in the “Dark World” and the same concept holds true for “Wolf Link”. So basically you have two whole worlds to explore, and you have a partner to help you in the dark world. I don’t see that as queer.

Also in Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Time there is a shop you can access only if you have a GBA…so if you still had a Game Boy Color you couldn’t buy the items you could if you had a GBA. I expect something similar in this one concerning the Rev.

I am all for better FPS and high(er) quality textures, in fact I would almost expect it.

This game will rock and probably be the best one yet. I will probably take a week off work when it comes out.

  13. Man this is so awsome!!!!!!!!!! This is the best news I’ve heard in awhile, about this game!!!!!!!!
