How and when did you get your Wii?

I got mine in 2006, nine days after the system was released. Due to a family engagement, I was unable to buy the system the night of launch. But it probably worked out to my advantage, because I understand a lot of people were turned away that night, even after waiting several hours in line to get one.

Will you pay $120 for DJ Hero? That’s what it’ll cost you.

Both Amazon and GameStop have listed DJ Hero for $120, which includes the turntable peripheral. Now I really like DJ Hero, having played it at E3 (game was dang fresh, although the guitar + DJ mode was lame). But this is getting ridiculous! In 2005, Guitar Hero with guitar cost $69. Now a $50 premium? But hey, if the market will bear it, the market will bear it. Will see if it does once DJ Hero dr...

The long-term impact of motion control

If someone’s not complaining about Wii in the short term, they’re complaining about Wii in the long term. G4 on Wednesday ran a shallow piece about the effect that Wii, and to a larger extent, standing up to play games may have on future generations. A father of three wrote in, citing the tired “Wii is for kids, real gamers play 360/PS3” elitist slant, but he jokingly share...

Poll: Do you cover your Wii Remote with a jacket?

Hey, Infendo nation! We want to know: {democracy:87} Tell us why in the comments, please.

Next Metroid may be poorly named, but its full of story, cinematics, and “sophisticated action”

What can Metroid fans expect from the upcoming (and whimpy named) Other M for Wii? Wired interviewed Samus creator Yoshio Sakamoto to get some answers.

Has anyone played Let’s Tap?

The most important question Infendo has ever asked…

Second only to “how do you like your eggs,” the following is the most important question Infendo.com has ever asked its readers:

Mario Bros. Fan-Art Roundup

It would stand to reason that one of the world’s oldest, most popular video-game franchises would garner more than it’s fair share of fan-art. After all it is Mario and Luigi’s intentionally simplistic features that leave them more open to artistic interpretation than most game-characters. And while it’s common for sites like Infendo to post clever fan-art every now and the...

Fan made Metroid 2 remake looks awesome

DoctorM64 says there weren’t a lot of Gameboy’s in Argentina back in the 90’s, but it seems that hasen’t stopped him from remaking one of the console’s greats on the PC.  It looks great – so great I wish we could see it as a WiiWare release.  Hint-hint, Nintendo? [Another Metroid 2 Remake]

GamePro’s “24 best 8-bit games” makes me all warm and fuzzy inside

With great picks and nice recaps of some of the best retro games ever, it’s a nostalgic punch to the face. As author McKinley Noble writes, “it’s enough to keep blowing into your NES slot loader.” Just know SMB3 rightfully took the top spot.
