Mario Kart Wii

GameTrailers previews Mario Kart Wii

The peeps over at GameTrailers are impressed with what they see but are slightly concerned with the more simplistic gameplay (read: no snaking). I say who gives; game looks and sounds awesome.

Mario Kart Wii “snaking” is wonderfully impossible to do

Guess what snakers? You’re out of luck when Mario Kart Wii hits shelves in April. Boo-hoo. Too bad so sad. ONM UK, via Go Nintendo: The second big difference (in Mario Kart Wii compared to the rest of the series) is the removal of snaking. Ever since the N64 game, practically every Mario Kart game has included the ability to get a speed boost by waggling the controls left and right as you po...

Mario Kart Wii footage is all about the splits!

Some new Mario Kart Wii footage. Nice splits, Peach!

Mario Kart Wii hands-on with X-Play

X-Play gets some hands-on time with Mario Kart Wii. It’s a bit awkward to watch them play the game in real time, but that’s what half the fun of any Wii game is all about, right? [Ed. Note — Embed wasn’t working, so the link is above instead].

Get ready for updated graphics, 12-player online racing, new motorcycles and text chatting options that will remind you of what life was like on AOL in 1999! That’s right, it would appear as though the Achilles Heel of Mario Kart Wii when it launches later this year will be the online interaction. Which will be text based. With registered friends only. Via the United States Postal Service. W...

Mario Kart Wii details emerge, again

Like some grandiose fantasy novel about orcs and elves and the lands of men, our eyes are — fittingly — fixed on the West, where Super Smash Bros. Brawl is tearing up Wii sales charts, kicking ass and taking names like Reggie Fils-Aime, and otherwise making gaming better for everyone involved. However, in our haste to acquire every little morsel about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and of co...

Mario Kart Wii 12-player online, wheelies set to arrive in April

We’ve touched upon the new and improved Wii-ified version of Mario Kart here at Infendo in the past, and today I’m going to start touching things again. All while doing wheelies and various Mountain Dew fueled extreme to the max X-Games tricks. First, some things have changed in Mario Kart Wii. Now it’s 12-player online, which is four less than what we knew a few months ago. Stil...

Mario Kart Wii box revealed?

Real or fake? Regardless, if it is real, that extra bulk isn’t going to sit well with big box chains like Target or even with GameStop. They hate having to stock strangely sized SKU’s because it means less space for DVD cases, etc. Plus, if it turns out to be a popular game that means shortages — not good for Joe Consumer.

Collectively, NGamer has provided some of the most comprehensive Mario Kart Wii coverage available and has revealed some interesting tidbits that seem to have slipped under the radar. One of the more interesting revelations from their recent preview, Mario Kart Wii...
