Inside Revolution

Next Generation has a nice article on Nintendo and why they are always listed after Sony and Microsoft (Sony, Microsoft, & Nintendo always seems to be the order). They say that if anyone can truly revolutionize the gaming industry, it’s Nintendo. I kindly disagree with the last paragraph in the article though. Remember mass media, Nintendo is the most cash rich (excluding OS software) an...

Let The Downloads Begin

Nintendo is debuting their DS demo download service today in Japan. The first two games offered will be Jump Super Stars and Nintendogs. The demos are available FREE to download and will remain playable as long as your DS is powered on. Now word on a US/Euro release for the service though. Nintendo = Nifty [Source: Next Generation]

Review: Beyond Good & Evil (GC)

Okay, I finished this game a few weeks ago, and in lieu of your past suggestions, realized I needed to post a review. So here goes, Infendo style. Beyond Good & Evil is such a good game. It was a “dark horse” released in December of 2003, so it got lost in all the hustle and bustle of Christmas. The story is straight forward. Secret aliens take over your home dubbed Hillys, and it&...

Leaked Revolution Ad 2?

Again, this was sent to us from an unconfirmed source via email and is pure speculation. (The Revolution seems to be getting a lot of that this summer) Note the Summer 2006 date contradicts the first Revolution ad leak that mentioned a March 2006 release. This thing looks dang sophisticated, even more than the first one, but personally I think it’s got Photoshop written all over it. I could ...

Revolution Tech Demo Pics?

[Update: Fake-ola as proven by Joystiq. How close do you think the actual specs could be to these though?] Our good friend NeuroMan42 just sent this in. Apparently, CVG has posted some images that are suppose to be from some Japanese Revolution tech demos. Who knows if they’re real or not, but none-the-less, they look really good. Click here to read the story and see the images.[Source: CVG ...

5/10 Top IGN Games by Nintendo

Five out of the top 10 games of IGN’s Top 100 games are published by Nintendo. Are you kidding me? It should be more… 😉 To all the haters out there, that says something about the quality games Ninny releases. Even if they are cute.

New DS Wi-fi Ad

Most of you have probably seen the DS Wi-Fi Ad that will start airing in the theaters across the US, but I wanted to know your thoughts on it. It won’t win any awards, but it’s slick, interesting, and gets you excited to see the final rollout of the wi-fi system. What do you think of the ad? New Revolution Pic

Joystick has posted an image of an “unknown” component of the Revolution that’s not the controller according to their DigiPen informant. What could this be?[Source: Joystick]

The Politics of Nintendo

Sure we’ve all heard of Miyamoto and his famous Zelda and Mario franchises, but how about Sakamoto? N-Sider has a great article on the organizational structure of Nintendo and how it’s R&D teams were once split among consoles and portables. Very insightful read with a push to get Sakamoto and his great Metroid and Wario Ware titles more on point with those created by Miyamoto. Read...

Revolution Prototype Controller

This image comes from Sock’s Controller Family Tree which gives a timeline of all controller lineage. Very interesting site. What’s even more interesting is that they have posted a picture of an assumed Revolution prototype controller that current developers are said to be using. I wonder how different the actual controller will look from this one.[Source: Sock’s]

Replay Value

If you were banished to an island, and could only take one game, what would it be? Okay that’s really cliche, but the question I’m getting at is what game has the best reply value? What game can light up your face every time you hit the power button regardless of it’s age or graphics? Tell me that, and you’ll have yourself a great game.
