Have you ever wondered what the heck Infendo stands for? If so, gather round for a little self indulgence and useless information on this fine Monday. As a youngling, Game Informer was one of my favorite video game magazines. This was before “cyberspace” was around so good magazines were the only source for news, reviews, cheats, and screenshots for us kiddies. I always liked the idea ...
Monty Phan from the Star Tribune can’t put his DS down. “This is how I tell the difference between the PlayStation Portable and its rival handheld game machine, the Nintendo DS: I haven’t picked up my PSP in months, while lately I haven’t been able to put down my DS.” There are so many good games right now for the DS, and there’s a lot more on the way. Be on the...
A slew of sites are quoting “someone” from the Nintendo pre-Christmas party as saying: “Capcom and Nintendo are as close as ever, which is why it was also confirmed that what a few of us had suspected is true- Resident Evil 5 has yet to be announced for the Revolution purely because details of the system are not publicly available. There will be good news on this front, worry ye ...
Well, this past week was a lot closer. Most of you agreed that the Zelda delay and a Revolution delay are the worst, followed by a tie of the Nintendogs commercial and$99 Micro price. Make sure to place your vote for this weeks survey.
THQ is developing “games for Revolution.” They are another in the growing list of publishers signing on with the system. Want to know the cool thing. These guys know what the system is capable of. Maybe not everything, but you gotta believe they know a lot. The company president was also quoted as saying “We’re seeing more from Nintendo now [for Revolution] than we have an ...
[Reviewed by Chris] All too often does one hear complaints about our favorite red hatted plumber being overused. However, those who call Mario out before playing Mario Superstar Baseball are the ones truly striking out. Mario’s first time on the diamond is easily on of the best in the Mario sports series. The game stars nearly all the big names from the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Bowser...
We know that the DS will use Gamespy technology for it’s wi-fi infrastructure. I would imagine the same would be true for the Revolution’s service. Well News Corporation, which is the parent company of Fox, has closed a deal to purchase IGN and it’s family of sites including Gamespy for $650 million. No word on if this will affect the Nintendo relationship, but here’s to ho...
Nintendo Power is currently counting down the best 200 Nintendo games of all time. While this is insanely subjective, the “worst” category isn’t so much. NP cites Superman on the N64 as the worst Nintendo game ever. Maybe, but my money is on Jaws for the original NES… Horrible. What’s your worst game ever?
So I just got done watching Agassi beat James Blake in a killer 5 set match at the US Open. And I began to wonder: How come Nintendo systems are lacking when it comes to simulation tennis titles? Sure we got the always fun Mario titles (with Tennis Advance coming out next month), but it seems like the Xbox and PS2 have had some really good ones. And the Xbox 360 has the wicked good looking Top Spi...
[Update: Game confirmed with Famitsu scans] The always reliable Spong is reporting that a new Super Monkey Ball is on it’s way to the DS and will be playable at the Tokyo Games Show later this month. They are saying it will make full use of the stylus and will be launched in Japan this December. The Monkey Ball series has always been a blast and it should interesting to see it work on the DS...
Nintendo Power has a nice feature on Konomi’s upcoming Lost In Blue. Set for launch on September 27, this DS title should serve up some good adventure lovin’. Based off Survival Kids, the game is shaping up to be Broken Sword with a little mix of survival action. This could be the sleeper DS title of 2005.
Well, the Gamecube is pending for Zelda, there’s not enough time to talk about the DS (too busy playing the thing with all its stellar games), we’re waiting to learn more about the Revolution, and the Micro is coming out soon. So let’s talk about the new Gameboy. First off, Nintendo said the DS does not replace the Gameboy family. The system certainly does have a different feel t...
