Get a Wii in Infendo Red! (Japan Only!)

Ever wanted an Infendo Colored Wii? Nintendo Japan has got you covered: a limited edition red console in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros.  It’s not “official” Infendo swag, sure – but you can bet your britches the first fan to slap a white “Infendo” logo on this baby will earn a special place in our hearts. It’s not all paint jobs ...

Miss Star Fox? Try this Wii game

Infendo reader Errol Docena writes, “I think you guys should seriously consider My Sims Sky Heroes. The game’s the closest thing to Star Fox fun since the Dogfighting game in WiiSports Resort. And it’s the closest thing to Diddy Kong Racing since… well, Diddy Kong Racing (just talking about the flying part, thoug...

Fierce competitors take opposite paths

After struggling through a period of shrinking audiences and product glut, the two major music game franchises have chosen very different roads. 2010 will be remembered as the year Rock Band got real and Guitar Hero went Looney Tunes. And that’s a good thing for both: They need to be as different from each another as possible for both to survive.

Unless you love party games, Wii Party probably isn’t worth $50

Wii Party is a fun game. There are a lot of game modes–more than Mario Party. Great music. And upwards of 15-20 motion controlled mini games you’ll want to replay often. But it’s hard to recommend at the full price of $50, unless you’re BFF with Mario Party or are looking for a replayable four player game. I’d say $40 is the most I’d pay. $30 would be a steal. W...

Nintendo, Wii own Britain

A staggering one in three households in the U.K. own a Wii, Nintendo revealed today, while a further one in six Britons own that plucky little portable, the DS. The impressive numbers were compiled by stat tracker GfK Chart-Track. Given the first party push happening this holiday season, Nintendo may very well control one in two households by the end of the year. World domination, anyone?

Did flushing money down the toilet on the Wii influence the price of the 3DS?

And by flushing money I mean, did Nintendo miss out on an opportunity to make even more money had they priced the Wii at $300? Michael Pachter has an interesting take on the ridiculously high price of the 3DS. They screwed up on the Wii. It was sold out for two full years! You just couldn’t get one,” Pachter said. “What was the point? They should have sold it for $300 at launch, ...

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword looks HAWT

Say what you will about the art direction of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but I like it.

This Japanese Wii game boasts massive graphics

If the above gameplay video is any indication, Xenoblade looks even bigger than Monster Hunter Tri. Or Shadow of the Colossus for that matter. Not that American gamers will necessarily get to play it; Xenoblade is made by Monolith Soft, the same studio that developed the International-only Disaster Day of Crisis for Wii. (via GAF)

Epic Mickey launches November 30

Epic Mickey, the Wii-exclusive that should have been a 2D platformer but will will probably rock our faces off anyway, will arrive on November 30, Disney Interactive Studios confirmed to Infendo today. A new streamlined launch trailer also arrived in our inbox, and is available here: I’m buying. Who else’s buyin’ what Warren Spector’s laying down?

Sonic Colors: Stale, or Classic?

I originally held this post back because of video problems but thanks to Nathan Janc over at New Nintendo we’ve actually got a pretty lengthy look at YouTuber SonicStadiumFox playing Sonic Colors at PAX 2010. Analysis after the jump.
