eShop just keeps getting better! I buy my share of titles from Apple’s place, but I find Nintendo’s shop currently ruling as far as delivering quality games that look great, hold my interest for longer than a bus ride, and actually–get this–control really well! On February 2, a very promising-looking action adventure arrives for your downloading consideration.
During Satoru Iwata’s latest financial briefing, the Nintendo president revealed a few interesting tidbits about Nintendo’s new console. First and formost, it looks like Nintendo is finally going to be taking online seriously with Wii U. The new online network that Nintendo has christened the ”˜Nintendo Network’ will be far and away Nintendo’s most ambitious step towards re...
Hooray for demos! Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (This is possibly my least favorite game title of all time) has just landed on eShop in demo format. It’s spectacular and a lot of fun to play through, running you through a medley competition involving target shooting, goal kicking, trampoline, swimming and BMX racing. It’s worth mentioning again: this game is spectacu...
Starting next month, the country that still can’t decide if it’s four individual ones or one unified one (i.e. they still won’t play together in the olympics or world cup) is getting stand alone pink and white 3DS units, Nintendo announced today. Previously, both white and pink were only available in bundle packs. No word if the company will make these stand-alones available else...
More Rayman Origins Videos So I have already played and beating Rayman Origins three times, on two different consoles. I simply love the game and think the experience is far and away the best platforming game of this console generation (sorry New Super Mario Bros. Wii). Ubisoft simply has done something amazing with the UbiArt Framework, and the game benefits tremendously from it. Now that the 3DS...
That’s what Gamaustrua analyst Matt Matthews suspects: The second point (of last year’s annual console sales) brings out is just how sequel-driven the top end of the market has become. Every game, with exception of Just Dance 2 and Batman: Arkham City is a sequel several times over. I’m just now beginning to try to follow the mobile/tablet gaming market, and while many of the g...
If you’re anything like me, Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure is a game that could easily ruin a few relationships. I can see myself playing this game for days. DAYS! I’m a simple man, I like my rhythm games guitar & drum free, with plenty of whimsy on the side. Check out the trailer for the game, and let us know if this game is on you’re radar. I know I’l...
Yippee! Starting Thursday, Nintendo will begin offering free downloadable demos for 3DS, reports USA Today. The first demos to appear on the eShop will include Resident Evil: Revelations, Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics, Rayman Origins and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. Free gameplay is always a good thing, however limited. What do you think of the news?
I have never heard of Code of Princess before I caught this Youtube video the other day, but now I want it, boy do I want it. The game looks to be a beat ’em up with some pretty fantastic design work from Kinu Nishimura of Street Fighter fame. The game is from developer Agatsuma Entertainment, and hasn’...
The eShop’s climb to excellence continues; Zen Pinball is amazingly good, combining great gameplay with a lifelike presentation only 3DS can deliver. Many of today’s gamers have never played a real, hand-built pinball machine, but I grew up near a terrific pinball arcade where gaming nights involved staring down through glass cabinet tops (marred by old cigarette ashes and drinking gla...
Infendo’s growing community of Mario Kart 7 racers, created by Kart-Racer Extraordinaire Holly, meets tonight at 7:00 P.M. U.S. Eastern. The code is: 20-1691-6700-3942. Last week’s meet had a great turnout! I arrived too late to join Holly’s group, but was able to enter one of the three groups playing. I raced through several cups, challenging some of our finest readers, and (as ...
2011 was one heck of a roller coaster ride for Nintendo fans, wouldn’t you say? After coming off what I still consider to be one of the top five games to be released on Wii in Donkey Kong Country Returns at then end of 2010, Wii owners were left with little to nothing new to play until the release of Skyward Sword. Sure there were titles to fill the void such as Conduit 2, de Blob 2, and Kir...
