Nintendo confirmed recently that Pokémon X sold 1.63 million copies, Pokémon Y 1.54 million. Those figures are through the end of December 2013 and are U.S sales only. Those figures also justify the purchase of about 1.63 million people. Because we all know Pokémon X is the superior version. Right? Source: Kotaku
As Nintendo’s latest financial earnings continue to further paint a “gloom-and-doom” future for the company, Satoru Iwata reiterates that they currently have no plans to release their key franchises on smartphone devices. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Iwata mentions how smartphones will not be the end of home console gaming. However, Iwata states that the key to s...
The legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is a very contested entry in the series, some say its a much superior game then Ocarina of Time while others claim that the N64 classic is still the greatest Zelda tale ever told. I think Majora’s Mask is a much more experimental Zelda title and is a better game for it, with its constant three day routine and the continuous reminder of impendi...

Hmm, Monster Hunter, one of those franchises which divides people who live outside Japan, who idolise this series on par with Dragon Quest. Monster Hunter had continually struggled on PS2 due to the lack of a solid internet infrastructure and on the PSP where the controls made it uncomfortable to play for more then 30 minutes due to cramp. Capcom then made plans to create a third entry on the PS3 ...

When I heard that Nintendo and Tecmo Koei were developing a Dynasty Warriors like game set in the Zelda universe I immediately watched the preview trailer shown in the latest Nintendo direct and got very eager to play this game, having loved the Warriors series on playstation 2. The main fear I have is all the trailer showed was Link as the playable character. I seriously hope that other character...
It would seem I’m not the only Infendo staff member who has recently had 1080° Snowboarding on my mind, as our very own Colin included the game and its successor (1080° Avalanche for the GameCube) in a list of “The Forgotten Franchises” (forgotten by Nintendo, it would seem, but not by us!). Now the game is currently available on Club Nintendo at a cost of 200 coins, and I feel t...
If you listen to Infendo Radio, you may know that I’m quite keen on Club Nintendo, a rewards program for fans who register their games and systems and take surveys to earn coins that can be redeemed for downloadable games and physical goodies. Today the service saw the addition of new Nintendo 3DS game card cases for 400 coins per “set.” A set includes a card case in the shape an...
Nintendo has many franchises that are put aside for the more financially viable Mario and Zelda games and it such a shame, so here is some of the main ones. So this is the biggie, despite being featured in last generations nintendo DS, there is no real consistant support for the franchise, being pushed around between Nintendo, Q games, Namco as well as Rare. I think Nintendo should give this serie...
