Games First has a nice Pro-Nintendo read on the innovative Revolution controller. Best line in the article: “Compared to the Revolution, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are simply expensive upgrades to existing platforms.” Innovate indeed, and that’s why they “get” it. [Source: Games First]
Mr. Iwata confirmed that Revolution users will be able to download demos for the Nintendo DS to the console and then transfer them wirelessly to their handhelds. Not sure how this would benefit a DS gamer unless he can preview it first on his Revolution. If not, just download it to your DS, right? We should learn more next month about the wifi service. Stay tuned.[Source: DS-X2]
More response from developer’s can be found on Next-Generation’s site. Most of them give rather good impressions. It would be nice to hear from Capcom, Konomi, and Retro as well. [Source: Next-Gen]
I might ruffle some feathers, but I don’t think we’ll see the Revolution until November 2006. I know the unconfirmed revo ad says otherwise, and we’d all like to play it right away but I just don’t think it’s possible given the fact that the Revolution has no working games (at least with the controller anyways). This doesn’t necessarily bother me though. I’...
The boys over at I4U News just might have proof that the new Revolution controller is tiring. The picture to the right shows an elder gentleman holding his elbow while “playing” with the new interface. This is totally a joke in light of our recent Don’t Make Me Move post. It’s not to be taken seriously. What’s more funny though is how some major game sites are still m...
Although the article disses my beloved GameCube console, the writer gives good props to the new controller, DS, and recent Nintendo first party games. Altogether, a quick and easy read and worth your time. It’s always nice to see the Big N on MSN. Read MSN Article[Source: MSN]
A bit silly, but if you got a lot of extra time on your hands, knock yourself out. [Source: GameBrink]
IGN has posted the teaser-only portion of Iwata’s TGS presentation. Like Joystiq said, these are merely actors and we’re quite confident they’re not playing real games. It still enlightens the mind with possibilities. Watch Trailer [Source: Joystiq]
Nintendo revealing the controller at the Tokyo Game Show wasn’t only to please us gamers, it was a smart business move. Apparently the revealing stole all the gusto from Xbox 360’s first showing in Japan. Although Microsoft is a distant third in Japan, it’s gotta hurt to not have many excited at your next gen’s unveiling. It should be interesting to see how Microsoft’...
The Micro officially launches today in the US. Welcome. Some of us aren’t too happy with you price tag, but we know you’ll come down soon. Have fun for those buying today. And for the price sensitive, until tomorrow…
What’s more shocking than the Revolution controller? We’re still infatuated with mock-ups! I can’t believe we haven’t put these bad boys down even after seeing the real deal. Call it a phenomenon. Here’s some more for your mock-up fix: [Thanks to all that sent these in]
