The weeks results. 71% of you think Nintendo is doing better today than in the past. Strong DS sales have got to be a part of that as well as the upcoming Revolution launch that is in a league of it’s own. Thanks for all that voted and be sure to make your voice heard on this week’s poll; Nintendo’s biggest mishap. [Source: Infendo]
Some exciting announcements were released today in a Nintendo press release regarding Mario Kart DS multi-player details. If you don’t own the cartridge, no worries. Nintendo will let you download a limited selection of 8 100cc engine tracks playable with 2-8 players. You’ll only get to race with ShyGuy though. I was a little disappointed to hear only 2-4 players can play simultaneousl...
To all the Infendo readers, where do you live? We’ve got readers from all over the globe, but now’s your chance to shout it out loud. You don’t need to give us your address. Just wondering what country and city you hail from. Put it in the comments. Thanks.
The majority of you voted Zelda as the most beloved franchise. Many, myself included, were very upset, even livid when Link’s next adventure was postponed from next month until spring of 2006. If I could play only one game next year it would be, without a doubt, Zelda. I might even consider passing up the chance to play the Revolution in place of getting my grubby hands on a copy of Twilight...
Ever since hiting North America, the “Wars” series has come to be known for its phenomenal turn-based strategy setup. However, fans of the GBA and DS games searching for that design will be disappointed to find it’s nowhere to be found in Battalion Wars. The series has taken the huge jump from handheld strategy, to become a real time action game. Though Battalion Wars strays from...
Nintendo sold 160,000 units of Nintendogs in its first weekend in Europe. Looks like the fine folks across the pond enjoy the game as much as the US and Japan. The game also helped explode DS sells which are up 400-700% accross Europe. Has a game ever been this big in all three regions of the world? [Source: Games Industry]
Nintendo will release a new Mario Kart Bundle on November 28 just in time for the new wi-fi network. The package will include a new Hot Rod Red color, some flame stickers, a wrist strap, and additional swag for your racing self. It will retail for $150. Will this game be even bigger than Nintendogs? Here’s what happens when you dress up like Link and hit a small Tennessee town up for some laughs. I didn’t know link wore a green polo and liked cheddar cheese… Watch The Video [Source: Extra Life]
There have been plenty lining up to point fingers at Nintendo. Many non-believers are sharpening their logic throwing out arguments against the Revolution. Everything from lack of third party support to being just plain wierd have been sited as potential causes for the complete downfall of Nintendo’s home console legacy. Sure, there are many reason why Nintendo’s new console could fail...
A few guys are doing what they call a “social experiment” and frankly it’s pretty funny. The group is going to pre-order a Revolution, and after picking it up on the day of the release, will unbox the thing and smash it in front of fanboys alike. Yeah, “social experiment” is about right. They will be video taping the incident along with the same for an iPod, 360 and P...
A Nintendo DS version of the King Kong game has surfaced today, coupled with screenshots, and it’s not a GBA port! It’s in full 3D and looks like it will emulate all the segments of its console brethren such as first-person action with Jack Driscoll and 3rd person fisticuffs with Kong. It looks really good and is the first console/handheld game for DS that actually looks the part. [by ...
If you’ve been gaming on a handheld at all in recent years, the most trusted and prevalent series you could find was Castlevania. Outside of the occasional Metroid, Castlevania contained the solid-est mix of 2D adventure and action available. Now that the series has moved to the DS, the song remains the same– Dawn of Sorrow is awesome. While engaging, the story ain’t so much the ...
