Modern “Nintendo Championships” a worthwhile event, says one Infendo reader

Infendo reader Brysson Blackwell writes in: I competed in the parent teen division this weekend at the Wii Summer Games and took second place. In the final, we were on stage in front of about a 1,000 people. It was pretty nerve racking, but a ton of fun. Playable games included Epic Mickey, Goldeneye, Just Dance 2, Flingsmash, Pokepark, DK Country, Kirby Epic Yarn, and Wii Party. I got busted taki...

Apple declares itself winner of handheld gaming

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.” So goes a common saying warning us about the ease with which statistical data can be manipulated to arrive at just about any conclusion one could desire. According to an article on CNBC, it appears that Steve Jobs’ infamous reality distortion field was in full swing at Apple’s Wednesday tech conference and new product...

Epic Mickey collector’s edition threatens bank account

I’ve been trying to unclutter my life and save money: Selling DVDs I never watch, putting the brakes on my need to collect stuff… But just when I think I’m making progress, along comes Disney’s official announcement of the Epic Mickey Collector Box. Would I pay an extra $20 to get the COLLECTOR’S EDITION of Epic Mickey? Heck, yes, I would. The Case, the Wii skins, and...
