Metroid Prime the front runner for “most memorable” video game menu ever

Well, it is according to the savvy NeoGAF community. And you know what, I’d agree with them. Since its release in 2002, I haven’t eased into a game world better than with Metroid Prime’s title screen music and menu. Awesome sauce.

Monster Hunter Tri Promotional Video

Who here is excited for Monster Hunter Tri? I know I am, who doesn’t like slaying ridiculously-dinosauric-draconic-monsters? Monster Hunter Tri is one of the few games I didn’t expect to see on the Wii. I mean honestly if Anyone came up to me two years ago and said, “Hey, Monster Hunter is coming to the Wii!” I w...

New powerup in Galaxy 2 makes you light

ONM, the Official Nintendo Magazine, got their hands on a piece of artwork for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2. While it’s just Mario walking up clouds, like some clown on stairs, it’s pretty unique for a Mario power up. While not much is known about this image or how it will work in Galaxy 2, it does look pretty comical and light hearted. Who’s excited for “Cloud” ...

If it weren’t for GameCube profits, would there even be a Wii?

As the predecessor to Wii, the GameCube was Nintendo’s worst selling console ever. During its six year life, it sold only 22 million units worldwide. Despite this, Nintendo reportedly turned a profit on the little purple box, thanks to a strong lineup of first party games and low cost hardware. That said, I can’t help but wonder if Wii would have materialized had the GameCube operated ...

After PC, are shooters better on Wii?

That’s the question IGN asked this week. And despite being a much more popular genre on HD consoles, columnist Michael Thomsen thinks shooters are better on Wii. Preview: Lost in Shadow a “hidden Wii gem”

In a preview published today, game blog Kotaku had nothing but nice things to say about Hudson’s upcoming puzzle-platformer, coming this fall to Wii: Its inventive, light-based puzzles and artsy look should make it a critical success, and if its still undisclosed back-story justifies the core design, we could be looking at a dark horse game of the year contender on the Wii. Radar, meet Lost ...
