Nintendo might offer Wii Ware Demos soon?

WiiWare Demo
According to a recent Joystiq article, Nintendo is planning to start releasing demos of Wii Ware games to help promote the Wii Shop Channel.

During the recent investor Q&A session, Satoru Iwata announced plans to begin rolling out demos for a small selection of WiiWare games this month. He didn’t say which region or regions would receive this service, so let’s assume it’s just Japan…  He expressed some doubt as to the effectiveness of demos as a promotional tool, but the (test) market will decide that!

That’s cool and all Iwata, but I still want to hear about DSi Virtual Console games not Demo’s for Wii Ware.

Interesting, I actually welcome that, as I have been on the fence about a few games, and there are few I bought that I wish I had the demo for them so I could have used that money of other games like World of Goo etc.

Should of been doing this since the launch! Need a way to get the product to the consumers more quickly.

The reason Nintendo doesn’t like demos is because a lot of Wii game sales are from people that don’t look at reviews, ect to see what games are good, they end up buying shuvelware.
Letting people play games before buying them is a surefire way to at least partially eliminate shuvelware sales. Good for us, bad for Nintendo.

    It’s about time.
