Here’s a long plug from Nintendo regarding 28 “must have” games for all three of their current systems. From the article: ” So you’ve received a Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy, or DS for the Holidays and you’re wondering which games to get. Here’s my list of titles no player should do without.” See if there are any you might have missed for your Nintend...

How will the company fair in 2006? PC Magazine predicts that the company will fade from the home console market if the Revolution is not a hit. From the article: “Expect Nintendo’s delayed Zelda title to be the must-play game next spring, but unless the Revolution is a home run, Nintendo will fade by the fall. That will allow Sony and Microsoft to battle it out for the console crown....

As reported by Reuters, the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, has revealed that the Nintendo DS has sold a record 5.44 million units since release in Japan. That’s only 13 months after launch, making it one of the fastest selling systems in existence. After a slow start, titles like Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Castlevania, and Nintendogs have lifted the DS above the competition...
Doubtful. From the article: “Thus, according to gamemag.ru, who is citing Inside Gamer, is seems that Nintendo Revolution’s configuration is complete and the device is ready for mass production. And since the release date for the Revolution is in May, that gives the Japanese manufacturers 5 months in order to manufacture enough consoles.” [Thanks, Carmine!]
Although to me this Christmas has more than any previous year seemed like just another day, there’s no way to shake the warm feeling that comes with waking up knowing that I have no work to do, putting on my pajamas, and flipping open the DS. Who is going to play what this Christmas morning? Expecting anything special from Santa Mario?

While on my way home to Los Angeles from Saint Paul, I spied this woman killing time at the airport gate by playing her jet black Game Boy Advance SP at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. I only wish she’d had a DS so I could’ve challenged her in a mid-flight Mario Kart showdown. Let the battle for the spare bag of peanuts begin!
Since the Revolution was shown off this past May, there’s been a lot of chatter about it’s release. When? How much? Nintendo has given us very little to base our predictions off of. Today, though, I came upon some exciting information. My mom runs the Customer Service department at the local Target. She know the local Nintendo representative (brings in new demos, sets up Nintendo produ...
Apparently, Costco is selling Gameboy Micros for $49 after an instant $10 rebate. A reader writes: “I just came back from my local Costco which is in San Francisco and to my surprise they were selling the Gameboy Micro for $49.97!” At least in the Bay area, but head over to the wholesaler warehouse to see if you can pick up the best designed hardware of 2005. [Thanks, Douglas]
Earlier we told you about NGC magazine revealing Twilight Princess‘ compatibility with the Revolution and its controller. Now, scans of the article have hit the interwebs and they shed a bit more light on the subject. NGC is a UK mag, so when they said Revolution is likely gonna hit in November, it was meant for Europe. When you insert the Twilight Princess disc into the Revolution, you will...
