German Brain Age box art

I believe “Jogging” is pronounced with a soft “j,” like Yahgging. [NOTE: The “Yahgging” thing is a joke. You’d have to see Anchorman to get it.]

Sam Fisher sneaks into Wii launch lineup

Ubisoft’s love for Wii keeps getting stronger and stronger. Because a whopping seven launch games just doesn’t cut it, IGN has reported that Ubisoft’s Montreal Studio is working on a Wii version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent that will “be available for the hotly anticipated launch of Nintendo’s new console.” The Wii version is based on both Ga...

Ubisoft Wii steering wheel revealed

IGN got their grubby hands on the forthcoming Ubisoft steering wheel, and of course, overlaid their cheap looking watermark on the public image. At first I wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of a steering wheel, but this looks like it could be fun.

EXCLUSIVE: Do you think Wii will launch sooner than later?

This is the first exclusive Infendo community post asking whether you think the already shipped Wii processors by IBM (since July) suggest an earlier than expected release date? Me? I think the above is nothing more than IBM and Nintendo PR fluff. Expect motion-sensing goodness in mid November, mates.

This week at Infendo

Here at Infendo, it was another week of all things Nintendo as again we saw our fair share of rumors, commentary and … Tingle? Here’s a look back on the week that was. Blake’s well-deserved rant on Nintendo’s behavior with the fading GameCube set off a firestorm of comments. It may do little good however, as Nintendo looks more than ready to move on to shinier, Wiimote-cont...

Six Million Reasons For Victory

Many analysts and video gamers believe that Playstation 3 sales will be slow for a year or two, but everyone will inevitably buy one. Thus, Sony will again dominate. However, pubishers and developers are not that patient, nor am I convinced conumers are either. Nintendo has promised 6 million consoles shipped by around March 2007. Meanwhile, Sony is currently expected to ship just 1/4 of that numb...

Spore to feature Wii-DS linking; DRM is no fun however

When you’re playing Spore on the Wii sometime next year in the spring and you just HAVE to finish up whatever the heck you’re doing with your custom creation, just upload it to your DS and take it with you. Oh, I guess I’m doing this out of order: Spore for the Wii has been confirmed, and you will be able to wireless link the game between the DS and the Wii. “Deform your sp...

Heard in the Infendo Forums: Nintendo King for a Day

Let your mind wander for a moment. Start imagining wildly unrealistic scenarios that could only happen in your wildest dreams. Like being the king of Nintendo for a day. What would you do? Where would you go? What secrets would you immediately grant yourself access to? Some Infendo Forum members were debating that very topic this morning, so let’s take a look. “I would start some bette...

Koji Igarashi warms to Castlevania on the Wii

Aside from that sketchy cameo on Captain N, Simon Belmont has been video game gold in the Castlevania series. This goes for all the other Belmonts who have made appearances throughout the years as well, but unfortunately after E3 it appeared as though the Wii was not something Koji Igarashi, the producer of the series, believed was the type of system he would want to develop for. However, in recen...

Nintendo spits on GameCube as it walks away?

Is Nintendo ditching Super Paper Mario on the GameCube in favor of a Wii-only version? Looks like it from what self-proclaimed Nintendo expert and mailbag answering extraordinaire Matt Casamassina from IGN says: “Let me just say that yes, Paper Mario will be headed to Wii and not GameCube.” Fine. We can play the game on Wii. But I’ve just never been “at peace” with ho...

Nintendo rubs salt in Sony’s PS3 delay and shortage wounds

Nintendo has made an official statement regarding the PS3 Euro delay and mass launch shortages: “Wii is on track to ship in Q4, Nintendo plans to ship 6 million systems to retailers around the world between its launch in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the end of its fiscal year on March 31, 2007.”
