Remember Cammie Dunaway, former executive vice president of sales & marketing for Nintendo of America? Well she no longer works for Nintendo, she left October 1st of last year. Who is going to take her place?
Do so now! Seriously, it’s a lot of fun. My favorite feature of Nintendo 3DS Sound is the ability to switch among several unique visualizations. (Helpful hint: some of these visualizations can be played.) There is also a control panel that allows you to manipulate the music by altering speed and pitch. Don’t expect the 3DS to replace your iPod, but this is definitely worth checking out...
Derek takes expectations to task, I loathe sick gaming, and we both discuss the 3DS nitty gritty, in addition to mailbag fielding and sub-$100 gaming. Hope you like it. North American owners of Nintendogs + cats got a Spotpass notice on their devices yesterday, telling them that the 26th President of the United States had dropped by for a visit, bringing along his bull terrier, Pete. The notification included a bit of historical background about the dog’s infamous reputation (he was accused of ripping the pants off a french ambassador.) Now, this is fun. If...
On a recent trip to Germany, I was super-excited to pull out my 3DS and notice that I had made new friends during my trip. Nintendogs+Cats was even blinking, indicating a new pet owner and his canine pal would be ready for my dog Fleischwurst to play with. Low and behold, I had StreetPass’d with two German fellas; shortly after they would battle a couple of ghosts for me in Save Mii. I love ...
So the entire Internet has been buzzing about Nintendo and their new console, but for some reason it’s hard to be excited about it. Right now with Wii, I haven’t had anything to play since Donkey Kong, and the rest of 2011 is looking bleak. I don’t think I will be stopping in for coffee at Nintendo’s next café, and here’s why.
Specifically: What is it about Nintendo that makes you come to and/or participate in a fansite like this? What’s your favorite Nintendo system and why ’ handheld or console? What’s your favorite video game developer not-named Nintendo and why? Do you like Nintendo more, less, or the same as you did as a child? Explain your reasoning. Looking forward to reading your answers. Have a grea...
One of the things that really nags at me about the 3DS is how I have to keep going back to the included games after either a period of time, after earning some more coins, or whatever, to be able to fully enjoy them. I’m specifically thinking about the limit on how many coins I can earn in one day for walking. I took a fairly short walk to the mall, around the stores, and home. I already max...
Hey, listen! When the 3DS system update that is expected to include the eShop and DSi system transfers comes out this month, I bet they replace the fun Ok Go video with a 3D version of the recent Zelda: Ocarina of Time trailer. What do y’all think?

This is breaking news, people.
