This DS Lite case made by Debris is hawt. Okay, I’ll never say that word again like that, but you get the idea. [via Flickr]

Brain Age sales top more than 4 million

Nintendo announced today that Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day on the DS has sold more than 4 million units worldwide, including 600,000 in the Americas, 3 million in Japan and 500,000 in Europe. It’s amazing to look at the difference between Japan and the rest of the world. Land of the rising sun really digs this game.

DS Lite owns eBay

eBay, the online auction house where I’ve purchased both a golf putter and my second SNES, has listed the DS Lite as the most wanted gadget. DS Lite beat out other popular gadgets like the iPod, the Sidekick 2 and SIRIUS Satellite Radio receivers for the top spot. That’s pretty impressive. Also impressive, as Infendo tipster Awol points out, is that the PSP is not on the list. ThatR...

November 9: Ich bin European Wii launch?

Gamefront, a German news site, has an interesting block of text up regarding EA’s Need for Speed Carbon. If the blurb is true, then Europe could be getting their hands on Nintendo’s new console by November 9. I hope it’s true, because right about now I feel like I’m watching a neverending tennis match as the date bounces back and forth between the first two weeks of Novembe...

R.O.B. is watching you

One crazy fan from Colorado sent Joystiq pictures of a nanny cam only a Nintendophile could love. Sean Barlow of Colorado took R.O.B., the hero of NES’s Gyromite, and threaded the workings of a camera through his innards. When placed next the rest of this guy’s Nintendo stuff, it just fades away. Oh how the mighty have fallen though; R.O.B. has gone from stacking blocks to watching thi...

DS games dominate as Madden looms on sideline

You probably assume that DS gamers who want to rock out New Super Mario Bros. and Brain Age have already owned these games for months now. After all, they were released in May and April, respectively. If you’re thinking this way, you’d better hit up Brain Age, as your rusty brain synapses are getting crossed and formulating false conclusions. The two games grabbed the top two spots on ...

While some people have to work hard for their dinero (heck, Mario has to bash his head against blocks), others get mad amounts of cash by simply geeking out on camera. The latest Internet celebrity, the Nintendo 64 Kid, can proudly say his parent’s console investment was profitable, with the end of his eBay auction leaving him $1051 richer. Yes, someone decided to drop a grand on a ten year ...

Camp Hyrule fine print smashes 7-11 Wii contest pricing

This evening Infendo readers Vincent and Will combed the fine print of Camp Hyrule, Nintendo’s online summer camp, and discovered what many of us already believed to be true: That the Wii will not exceed $250. “For Camp Hyrule, one winner will be randomly selected to win a free Wii. In the description (aka small print) it said: 1) Wii video game system. Approximate retail value of the ...

A look at Infendo one year ago

Trolling the information super highway today for anything Nintendo noteworthy has proven difficult. Was it this slow on August 9 of last year? Enter a shameless self-plug of what we were discussing exactly one year ago: Perrin Kaplan on Wi-Fi Commercial The Dynamics of Game Development Preview: Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA) Top 25 GameCube Games How has your outlook of the Nintendo landscape changed ...

Zelda theme song soothes the soul

Our corporate gaming overlords over at IGN have published a top ten list of RPG theme songs, and The Legend of Zelda has taken the top spot. “Though not considered to be a traditional turn-based RPG, Zelda fans none-the-less are rabidly crazy about the “Zelda” title track, which has been ingrained in our childhood memories ever since its emergence back in 1987. Composed by musica...

New Wii launch title: Trauma Center

Atlus USA, maker of sleeper hit Trauma Center: Under the Knife for the DS, has confirmed that Trauma Center: Second Opinion for the Wii will be a launch title. If there’s one thing I like more than confirmed launch titles it’s confirmed launch titles that can only be played on the Wii. From Gamasutra: “Trauma Center: Second Opinion will feature new graphics and animation, new sur...
