Atlus USA, maker of sleeper hit Trauma Center: Under the Knife for the DS, has confirmed that Trauma Center: Second Opinion for the Wii will be a launch title. If there’s one thing I like more than confirmed launch titles it’s confirmed launch titles that can only be played on the Wii.
From Gamasutra: “Trauma Center: Second Opinion will feature new graphics and animation, new surgical implements and operation types, a second playable character with new missions, multiple difficulty modes, and a revised control system that takes advantage of the Wii’s unique remote and nunchuk-style controller.”
There was some slight speculation that this title was shaping up to be a port of the DS version with improved graphics (think the “remastered” debacle that happened to the original Star Wars movies), but this is shaping up to be largely not the case at all. And I don’t know if anyone will get this joke, but I for one am hoping there’s a “Dr. House” mode.
A final tidbit is that the DS version is getting a second re-release, which is good because no stores in my area had it the first or second time it was released. Is that how it was most places?
Happy cutting Infendo readers.
