Game based on The Office coming to DS

Premium casual games publisher MumboJumbo today announced a new game based on the Emmy Award-winning television series “The Office.”  It will be made available for DS, PSP, and PC. Hopefully they’ll include a beet picking minigame taking place at the Schrute Farm.

Nintendo, the destroyer of worlds (and EA)

I’m not about to say Nintendo single-handedly bested the largest video game software company in the world and knocked it on its ass with a waggle wand and the gas-sipping Honda Civic of game consoles — but they played a HUGE part in today’s restructuring news.

What Game Turned You Into A Gamer?

Gaming Today asks a beautifully simple question: what game turned you into a gamer? Though not the first game I ever played (that honor would go to some stick figure Atari 2600 game I can’t even remember), Kung Fu immediately followed by Pro Wrestling for the NES are what really did me in. Shortly after I got my hands on some Super Mario goodness, and it’s been down hill ever since. Wh...

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. How are you celebrating today?

Video – The Nintendo Revolution

An epic tale with special effects as good as Dr. Who. If you’re a fan of the Mother/Earthbound series, you need to watch this one.

Meet Jessica Alba, Nintendo dream girl

If you haven’t read about some of Jessica Alba’s non-Nintendo related comments from the past week, I suggest you get your Google on and find out. Then, when you do figure it out, I suggest you give her a call and see if you can help her out with her little one night stand experiment. She knows me, so don’t worry about any stalking issues. Name drop at your leisure. Now, for some ...

Nintendo, the Wii, and the Black Swan

Slate.com writer Tyler Cowen tackles a new book by Nassim Taleb called the Black Swan today, and while I read the column I couldn’t help but think of Nintendo. Some might attribute this to an obsession, but once you see the points made by Taleb in his new book I think you’ll see I’m only half-obsessed.

Nintendo Spotting: San Diego Sea World Edition

The wife and I were in So Cal last week on vacation. She’s the type that literally cries upon seeing Shamu do his thing, so a stop at Sea World in San Diego was a must. Snapped this little gem just as the park opened before any one plucked the lil Italian as a consolation prize. Spotting get!

The Zelda Diary by J. Grant

Long-time Infendoite and fellow gamer Jon Grant is chronicling his journey in completing each and every Zelda game starting with the Legend of Zelda. He writes in an email: Some time ago I stumbled upon a blog called ‘Blogging Ultima’, which chronicles one man’s playing all of the Ultima PC games from beginning to end, talking about everything he experiences along the way. I̵...

Commercially smart, or shamefully excessive?

Is Microsoft taking the whole Halo 3 thing a bit too far? I’d like to think other publishers wouldn’t exploit popular franchises to this extent (Note: I said think). Talk about chutzpah. I feel like I’m getting marketed to like I did when I was a kid. I’m 27 now. 27, people!
