NES Remix Pack coming this holiday, includes both games on a physical disc

NES Remix and NES Remix 2 will be released together on a disc this holiday season. The small collection of Wii U eShop titles will be called NES Remix Pack.

Nintendo made this announcement during their live stream from San Diego Comic Con. For those of you who don’t already own NES Remix or NES Remix 2, does this upcoming physical release appeal to you? If you do already own one or both games, would you still consider NES Remix Pack? Let us know in a comment below.

In addition to being a girl gamer, Holly prides herself on being a red-head. Consequently, the blue shell in the Mario Kart series is her natural enemy. Don't worry, though: she still loves Mario Kart and is very good, despite the occasional blue shell-sabotaged race. Like any Nintendo fan, Holly also loves Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, name it. But she'll try just about anything (besides horror games) and has a soft spot for unique, little-known rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven and Samba de Amigo. NNID: Aeroweth

  1. I’d love to see an NES Remix release for 3DS.

  2. Yeah, this physical release is great and all, but there are a few things I think would be better world Nintendo’s attention: like NES Remix for the 3DS or moving on to SNES Remix (which had better happen; just saying). 😉

  3. Jumping ahead, I would love a Gamecube remix! It was such an under-rated console.

  4. It may have only been a matter of time before this came to America, but announcing this now, so soon after Club Nintendo gave away only one of them as a reward, is just a slap in the face.

  5. Yep. Talked about that a little in the podcast tonight. Personally, I feel kinda stupid, because I chose NES Remix. I totally would have been open to the idea of getting both on a disc. I prefer physical media anyway. Ah well…

  6. I figured since Japan got this, we would eventually. Glad it has finally been announced. Will pick up, always like physical media when given the choice.

  7. Speaking of SNES Remix, I would five anything for them to do SNES virtual console on 3DS

  8. Give anything, not five anything… (That’s what I get for using my phone!)

  9. Agreed. Super Mario World on the go? Dream come true. Be absolutely awesome if they made multiplayer between 2 3DS’s possible. I’m crying tears of joy at the mere thought…
