Ghostbusters (June 16)
With any Wii game these days, there’s always the danger of making a game too “cartoony,” especially when it comes alongside its more visually stunning siblings on Xbox and PS3. But with a franchise like Ghostbusters, virtual reality kills the mood. I want my Ghostbusters: The Game mimicking Ghostbusters: The Movie. The movie was never about pushing the limits of special effects (although there were certainly some nifty ones), it was about campy comedy and jamming as many phantoms as possible into those little traps. Same goes for the game, which is probably why Dan Akroyd recently said he preferred his Wii character over the other one. And one more thing: don’t cross the streams. Wii remote pointing will certainly help with that.
