Heroes of Ruin can’t come to 3DS soon enough

I left E3 2011 with Heroes of Ruin as one of my most highly anticipated games of the show, and after watching the latest gameplay and story trailer for the game, my mouth is salivating just thinking about playing the game later this year. Just think, in just a few short months we will have a Diablo-like game available right on our handheld.

You can be sure that there will be plenty of loot to collect in Heroes of Ruin, as the game prides itself on having thousands of different equipment combinations. Each acquired weapon will appear different, so collecting each piece of armor is actually meaningful.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the whole ordeal is the fact that the game will ship with drop-in and drop-out multiplayer, both on and offline. 4-player co-op player over the Nintendo Network, with voice chat!? Sign me up.

  1. The multiplayer sounds very interesting! I’ll probably wait for it to go on sale, though. I’m not too big on stuff like this. I’m much more interested in Kingdom Hearts 3D.

  2. But is it worldwide? >_<

  3. The online, I mean.

  4. I always try to have a game like this active in my library.

Gauntlet, Secret of Mana, Diablo, Baldur’s Gate I/II, Gauntlet Legends/Dark Legacy, Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, and next will be Heroes of Ruin. This will be the most convenient multiplayer yet; yay voice chat! The genre must go on.

  5. “in a few short months”–wait, I thought this game comes out on March 31?

  6. It sure is taking it’s sweet time.

  7. I cant wait for this game either. I’m hoping it does big things for the 3DS’s online system.
