Activision released a trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts. The latest video details the game’s Clans, a major part of Ghosts‘ multiplayer experience. Joining Clans — besides playing death matches with your friends — grants additional experience points and rewards. Also, another tidbit: Clans will not be cross-platform on Wii U. You cannot join a clan with friends who have Ghosts on other platforms. View the trailer above to learn more about how Clans change COD’s kill fest.

  1. I might take a look at this even if its just for the mindless explosions. Support Wii U third party effort unless it is a crappy port.

  2. I was intrigued with the concept of playing cross platform, and this was almost going to prompt me to buy this game for Wii U. The problem is, after viewing the trailer, that this is yet another feature that Nintendo gets left out on. The small disclaimer at the bottom of the screen around the 0:36 mark in the video states that the feature is NOT available on Nintendo consoles. There seems to be a perpetual cycle of excluding the Wii U at work here…

  3. @Michael Larson: Thanks for the correction. I wrote this one while a bit drowsy. I completely missed the footnote in the trailer. It doesn’t make any sense while you can’t partake in cross-platform clans.

  4. I updated the post to reflect the Wii U’s clan-less version.
