Watch Dogs Confirmed For Wii U

Earlier this week, it was reported that Ubisoft’s upcoming ‘next-gen’-esque action-adventure title, Watch Dogs, would be available for pre-order on the Wii U through GameStop and Best Buy. Ubisoft tonight confirmed that Watch Dogs would indeed be released for the Wii U this Fall, alongside for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the recently unveiled PlayStation 4. The confirmation came through a press release from Ubisoft. In the release, Ubisoft announced that Watch Dogs would first launch alongside the PlayStation 4, with other versions to follow. Near the bottom of the press release, Ubisoft officially confirmed that a Wii U version was also in the pipeline.

Does this spell good news for Wii U owners that a hotly-anticipated third party release will now grace the console? Discuss.
