It’s that time of the year again, were we get to relive our favorite Mario Memories in the form of charity! Mario Marathon is an annual fan run fundraiser for Child’s Play Charity. Child’s Play provides toys, games and books to patients of children’s hospitals worldwide. This is a godsend to those children who are stuck in hospital rooms unable to experience the happiness of playing outside with others. Helping fill the void and giving them a little bit of happiness when they need it the most.
The multi-day internet event, broadcast live online, attracts an audience from around the world to watch as the team plays through twenty five years of Super Mario Brothers video games.
Now in its third year, the event has attracted over 300,000 viewers, and raised nearly $45,000 for Child’s Play. If you want to encourage and cheer them on you can visit their site MarioMarathon.com, or you can hit the jump to start watching and see what games they’re playing.
