How would you design Nintendo’s new console?

Nintendo is planning to fully unveil its new console, code-named Project Cafe and/or “Stream,” on June 7. Until then, let’s speculate, shall we? What would you name the thing if you were Nintendo? What physical features would you give it (both controller and console)? What gameplay, media, and online features would it boast? Let’s hear it, Infendo.

Is the world ready for” Wii 2″?

This weekend I spent most of my free time finishing Portal 2, Valve Software’s brilliant new first person puzzler. While playing, I couldn’t help but to think of how awesome puzzles from Portal 2 would be in say Skyward Sword. Problem is, the Wii simply does not have the horsepower to do the things that Portal 2 does. Once the credits began to roll, and the endgame song began to play ...

Wii no longer worth stealing?

Mike from Kotaku was robbed over the weekend. The perpetrators took all his home entertainment electronics — including Xbox 360, PS3, 42″ TV — with exception to one, his Wii. “Why did criminals hell-bent on stripping my entertainment center bare of every piece of electronics bypass the little white box with the glowing blue light on it?” he writes. “Was it an in...

I continued the legacy, playing Game Cube and Wii with my younger siblings in years to come. Family and Nintendo go hand-in-hand for me. The first Nintendo system I had all to myself was a Game Boy Color with that pretty, see-throug...

Further proof you’re better off playing back catalog Wii games

Metacritic can’t even list 25 in their quarterly “25 best reviewed games” list. And the top 5 are lacking to say the least. Oh well, at least Wii-only owners have a large back catalog of sweet games to play. But for those looking for new stuff, it’s slim pickings. Think it will ever pick back up?

Currently,Wii sales have dropped slightly and it seems Nintendo has taken notice. According to trusted sources over at Engadget, the little white box is about to get a $50 price drop starting May 15th. If true, the price drop may help to put Wii consoles into...

What’s the biggest blip on your radar?

I gotta go Zelda: Skyward Sword, if only because it’s Zelda, it’s being overseen by Miyamoto, and it’s director by the same guy that did Minish Cap, the most underrated Zelda of all time. Either that or another upcoming Zelda: Ocarina 3D. What about you? What’s the biggest blip on your gaming radar?
