Spectacular 3DS Rayman Origins demo hits eShop

The wait is over; you’re one free download away from finding out just how good one of 2011’s best console games looks and plays on 3DS. Judging from the three levels offered (one normal platform level, one shadow race and one shooter level), Rayman Origins is coming to 3DS with all its wonderful style, animation, music, tight controls and humor intact. The 3D effect enhances the already-terrific artwork. I think we’re looking at the most spectacular sprite-based platformer to ever grace a handheld, here. I’m sold; how about you? Does this demo convince you to buy the full $29.99 retail release in June?

  1. I thought the demo was terrible. The 3D effect was weak. It just looks like a direct port of the console versions, which makes Rayman look even smaller. I play it on Wii, so I noticed the inferiority of the 3DS version immediately. I wish they worked on it to make it unique for a handheld. I will not be getting it for the 3DS. Everyone who’s interested in Rayman Origins should get a console version; the handheld versions don’t even have multiplayer

  2. If it is just a port, I won’t be buying it. If it was an original game for the 3DS then I might…

  3. Without multiplayer I probably won’t pick this up…
I was impressed by the execution on a handheld though.

  4. the demo was NOT good, especially the sound. i hope the game isnt compressed that badly,.

  5. yeah the 3ds version is terrible :/

  6. Nope, didn’t like the port. Getting the PSN version of it. Now, the sequel? Wii U!

  7. There are some interesting cut-off dates on this article but I don抰 know if I see all of them center to heart. There may be some validity but I’ll take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we would like extra! Added to FeedBurner as well
