Mega Man 9 bosses revealed (in B+W)

A post over at MyGamerCard did more than reveal the Xbox 360 Achievements for upcoming Rockman title Mega Man 9, it also revealed all the Boss Robots. This here image is a ‘shop job from WiiFanboy. Puts them in perspective pretty nicely.

Mega Man 9 to have optional 8-bit bugs, sprite flicker

Once upon a time, finding a bug in a game didn’t crash your console or require a firmware update, it just caused some slowdown or sprite flicker. Those were the days, and they were due more to limitations of the system than lazy development. Thankfully, Capcom is going to include them in the upcoming Mega Man 9 WiiWare title, thereby completing its rise to retro awesomeness utterly and compl...

Mega Man 9 (and 2) arriving in September

Infendo pet project Mega Man 9 is scheduled to arrive in the US in September, the Capcom Unity blog confirmed today. Mega Man 2 will also arrive that month, courtesy of the Virtual Console service. Mega Man, as you know from reading Infendo, arrives tomorrow. Looks like I’ll be spending at least $20 over the next two months.

Mega Man 9 shirt coming soon!

We first saw this on the Capcom crew at E3, and now it’s coming soon to a store near you. WIN. And, the reason he’s carrying a pistol and an arm cannon is explained by the curious, but equally badass, Mega Man 2 original box art (someone had asked in the comments before). Look it up.

Mega Man 9 at E3, live gameplay – Level 2

Who kidnapped me, and slipped me into a time machine? Veterans, you have to love the look and sound of Mega Man 9, and you younger guys need to find an emulator or a crusty old neighbor with a working NES and get playing Mega Man 1 and 2. The difficulty of this title apparently led several E3 attendees to contemplate suicide. It’s not about game length at all, it’s about accomplishment...

Capcom selling Mega Man 9 with minimal effort and maximum fanfare

With each day and subsequent disappointment, I am getting less and less excited for Mega Man 9. To clear vernacular discrepancies, I feel there is a distinction between “excitement” and “anticipation.” For example, I was excited when I first saw Super Mario Galaxy. I felt the same way about the original Metroid Prime. These games brought classic franchises back to life in a...

Why Mega Man 9 on Wiiware is a bigger deal than you think

It could be the extra Nintendo gene I was born with talking, but this morning I can’t help but think that the Mega Man 9 WiiWare news is much bigger than it initially appears. Sure, this is a major coup for Nintendo’s infantile WiiWare service, and it’s incredible news for anyone who grew up playing Mega Man on the NES (or other, *cough* CD-ROM systems in the 1990s), but there...

Nintendo Power: Mega Man 9 coming to WiiWare

I’m pretty floored by this bit of Rockman news today. Apparently the Mega Man 9 retro game previously rumored for Xbox 360 and PS3 might be coming to WiiWare. And it’s going to feature literal retro grade graphics. As in the ones from the last true Mega Man game, which launched in 1996. If it’s true, welcome back, Mega Man!

Rumor: Capcom working on Mega Man 9

As we make that slow crawl to E3, these news-parched weeks continue to spawn exciting rumors. Today, one of the biggest pre-E3 rumors yet comes from the Capcom camp. According to a Destructoid source, Capcom is working on Mega Man 9. If true, players would control the iconic “Blue Bomber” for the first time in more than a decade. The last entry in the classic Mega Man series was Mega M...

Colt’s Choice 7/28/19

Heya, guys! I’m back with a Special Colt’s Choice that I hope will never happen again because this was tough to choose! This week only, you will be getting not one, but two picks! The reason is because there is a slightly more expensive option, and a very cheap option, both of which have taken up my entire time this weekend and brought joy to my life whenever I turned my Switch on! Wit...
