What’s NFC you ask? Well just think the Skylanders portal of power where you place an object with an embedded with a wireless chip near another with the same technology and, boom. Magic happens.

Nintendo will soon use this tech in the downloadable Pokémon Rumble U according to leaked Corocoro scans that have recently hit the internet. There will initially be seven toys available at launch, and they will sell for 200 yen (around $2) in Japan. Pikachu will be available at launch, because why not?!

As of right now, Infendo has reached out to Nintendo for confirmation on a US release but has yet to hear back. Stay tuned for more info as it develops.
