Nintendo art exhibition set for Australia

The Sydney Morning-Herald reports Goldie Marketing has organized a public art exhibition in Melbourne focused on Nintendo characters.

The inaugural Out of Controller art exhibition will open Sept. 10 at Melbourne’s iconic Fad Gallery. Entries are open to the public, and Goldie Marketing is encouraging Nintendo fans, young arts professionals and game designers to contribute to the exhibition.

Nintendo fans should be familiar with Goldie Marketing for its beautiful Nintendo figurines distributed worldwide by Corgi Int’l.

Entries will be judged by a panel of games journalists, designers and Nintendo of Australia executives. The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of $2000 and a Nintendo Wii prize package. Even those without a knack for creativity may consider keeping the date; all entries will be on sale to the public during the exhibition.

The deadline for entries is Aug. 15. For more information, visit the official Out of Controller Web site.
