Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who has the cheesiest game dialogues of them all?

I recently wrote an article for Next-Generation on why video game dialogue is so cheesy. Basically, as told in the article, “as video games became more cinematic, writing and dialogue couldn’t keep up due to the absence of legitimate storytellers.” Cinematics when compared to text stories is a whole different ball game. Heck, interactive stories when compared to linear movies is a whole different ball game. Furthermore, gamers don’t demand better stories and dialogue from publishers when purchasing games.

Which brings me to my next question I pose to you dear Infendo readers: Which company(s) are most responsible for poor in-game dialogue? Are they all equally to blame? How does Nintendo stack up? Adding to the problem? Better than most? They continually use of text over voice acting has got to say something.
