Nintendo announced a new eShop title for the Wii U during today’s December Nintendo Direct. Titled, NES Remix, the downloadable title takes your favorite NES titles but adds little tweaks and changes for new challenges. Some of these changes include playing the original Super Mario Bros. backwards with Luigi, controlling an NES Link sprite through the original Donkey Kong, and Excitebike tracks where you must navigate through the dark. One additional feature for NES Remix will also include unlockable stamps (as seen from the recent Super Mario 3D World) that can be used for Miiverse posts.
The downloadable title will include 16 re-imaginings of classic NES titles. These titles are as follow: Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Excitebike, Super Mario Bros., Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Clu Clu Land, Wrecking Crew, Pinball, Urban Champion, Baseball, Tennis, Ice Climber, Golf and Balloon Fight.
