Link’s amiibo figure will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors

Nintendo of America tweeted today that Link’s amiibo figure will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors. This is a game that wasn’t listed as amiibo-compatible until now, but we’ll have to wait to find out exactly how the NFC figure will work with Hyrule Warriors. Since Link’s is the only figure currently announced to work with the game, does this change your previous amiibo purchasing plans? Do you think Zelda or possibly other amiibo figures will also be compatible with Hyrule Warriors later on down the road? Let us know your thoughts in a comment.

  1. Hmm, I wonder what use the amiibo will have. I mean Link is already in the game so unless it unlocks something in the game which is not attainable any other way I’m not sure what purpose this has.

  2. I have no idea what I could possibly unlock, but I also bet that the Princess Zelda Amiibo will be compatible. I am personally really stoked to hear that additional games will be compatible with the figures. Here’s hoping for some additional/free DLC!!!
