Ever since getting my grubby hands on Heroes of Ruin at the Nintendo booth at E3, I knew that the Diablo-style gameplay was exactly what the doctor ordered. Today in preparation for the Gamescom 2011 video game show in Cologne, Square-Enix  has released the first gameplay trailer for the title.

In comparison to what was on display in June, it looks as if Heroes of Ruin is on the right track to please gamers with its drop-in, drop-out multiplayer and completely customization equipment.

Are you waiting for Heroes of Ruin with bated breath?

Eugene lives in New Mexico and has been a life long gamer since getting his hands on an NES. Always partial to Nintendo, Eugene has made it a point to keep informed on all things Mario.

  1. I literally just emailed a link to this video a couple hours ago! HAHA!

On topic – I will own this. Day one. Period.

Though I must disagree with one minor thing: I think the gameplay looks more in line with WoW. So far we haven’t seen what the controls will look like or how the second screen will be used but I see the circle pad and buttons being used as primary with “cool-down skills” being executed through the touch screen.

    I can’t wait…..

  2. With Blizzard doing that always online DRM crap, Heroes of Ruin may be the permanent substitute for this type of game. I think I can do without Diablo 3.

  3. Definitely want this! To me, it looks like a neat blend of Diablo and WoW.

That tiger shark guy is hilarious and awesome st the same time!

  4. An RPG on the 3DS. That’s what I’m talking about baby.
