Game drought? What game drought?

For all the manlove I pile on Reggie, he sure can be a slippery snake sometimes, no? Take these Metroid/Super Mario Galaxy delay rumors. What’s going on there? Are they going to show up in 2007 as he promised? One would think they’d have to, given how closely the success of a Nintendo platform is tied to first party titles. But Google tells us otherwise. “Nintendo droughts”...

Super Mario Brothers (VC) coming Christmas day?

Recent rumblings in the Nintendo grapevine (read: forums) suggest that Super Mario Bros. is coming to the Virtual Console on Christmas day. Furthermore, Urban Champion, Baseball, and ToeJam and Earl are also suspected, though all are unconfirmed. You know what would make this rumor even more juicy than the steak I had at Spencer’s on Saturday? If Nintendo would gift us the game we’ve p...

Extra Life takes top Webcomic honors

Joystiq has chosen Infendo Radio’s own Scott Johnson as the Webcomic cartoonist of the week. “Even the Jolly Old Man in Red can’t seem to keep up the demand of children on his Good List this year. Joystiq readers en masse chose Extra Life’s Santa Wii strip as the best weekly webcomic.” The comic is a holiday gem, and is bloody accurate to boot. Way to go Scott; it was...

More gifts of Wii – Opera browser on Friday

Opera says they are giving us a free taste of their Wii web browser on Friday. They even made a comic about it, claiming that the final version will be ready in the spring. It’s starting to sound like the ‘free-until-June‘ talk we heard from Nintendo only applies to a trial version. I’m just glad we get to kick the tires on it before plunking down some Wii points for a brow...

More Mii Celebrities

Kottke.org recently had a contest to create Mii celebrities. Head on over to see some pretty creative entries. So far this morning I created copies of Admiral Ackbar and Charlie Brown. Besides Wenis, who is your favorite Mii celebrity? [Thanks, Admiral Snow!]

Something lame this way comes — It’s a Friend Code!

What a great day. The Wii Forecast Channel dropped a day early, I’m progressing nicely in Twilight Princess, and Wii games will have their own separate Friend Codes that are different from the console. Yes, it is truly a — wait, what!? MORE Friend Codes?! Tis true. And there is no way my pro-Nintendo self can make lemonade out of this sour, slightly moldy lemon. I can only ask why. Why...

Wii Forecast Channel launches a day early

Some cooler than you and I Infendo readers informed us that the Wii Forcast Channel went live early this morning, a day earlier than expected. Just perform a quick system update to access the content. You can now check the cold weather outside before returning to your engaging game of Zelda inside… [Thanks, Will & PRguitarman]

Help spread the Infendo Radio love

Shameless plug: If you dig Infendo Radio as the coolest Nintendo podcast around (or maybe you just like it sorta), then please dig us up using Digg’s new podcast channel to spread the word and share your Nintendo ‘casting glory with others. You can even vote for your favorite podcasts from our archives. Digg if you got ’em. [Thanks for finding this and setting it up, David T.!]

The infamous Mii Parade

The Mii Parade, at present, is worthless. However, I still find myself logging in to the Mii Channel to see if A) Blake has sent me another Wenis, and B) to see if the ranks of my Mii Parade have grown overnight. To date, I’m up past 80. This includes Howard Stern, Adolf Hitler and the cast of Sienfeld — all of whom migrated to my Wii unannounced and now appear at my Wii Bowling Alley....

NES purse. Yes, an NES purse

I was going to make a post today about how Toys R Us is promising “thousands of Wii’s” before Christmas next week, but how the hell can I justify that when Infendo tipster Georg is making purses out of NES consoles? The Nintendophile in me weeps when I see an NES mangled in such a way, but in this day and age a girl’s got to accessorize, right?

Wii Safety – CNN edition

A female staff member at CNN tells her frightening tale of buying a Wii. This writer’s story is fairly intense and sounds more like a TMX Elmo tale of terror. Nevertheless, having something that another person can’t get can open you up to a mugging or assault. Has anyone felt threatened or endangered when buying expensive electronics this holiday season? On a semi-related note: ever si...

Mii’s jump to tee’s

Just a head or whole body, 19.99 pounds. I call dibs on Wenis (find him/it elsewhere, or ask Blake).
