Nintendo Spotting: Energy Drink Edition

I spotted “Power Up Energy Drink” at a large boutique store in St. Paul, Minnesota. After doing some research I found that this drink had been sighted on Kotaku as found in a train coach in Canada and is apparently for sale at the Nintendo World Store in New York- which leads me to assume that Nintendo does know that this product exists. Has anybody out there actually tasted this?

Ghost Squad coming to Wii

Sega’s hit arcade game, Ghost Squad, is coming to Wii. An arcade style FPS using the Wii Remote? Sign me up. But will it have online multiplayer deathmatch? [UPDATE:  Ghost Squad is an on rails shooter.  I had read a description of the arcade game online which described it as being an attempt to bring and FPS style of game to arcades.]

DS sells 10 mil in Japan; You’d think it’d be more

Respected Japanese publication Famitsu announced today that Nintendo hit the 10 million sold milestone in Japan for the DS Lite. It also did it in record time selling more than two times faster than the mega-selling PS2 for the same period. Not sure how high the total is including DS phats, but I would have sweared this would have been more. Don’t the Japanese buy like a half mil of these th...

Just how "underpowered" are Wii’s graphics?

In light of recent comments made by Microsoft’s Robbie Bach in calling Wii’s graphics less capable than Xbox 1, N’Gai Croal examines the facts via three anonymous sources. Wii is a scrappy little booger, but is it as underpowered as conventional wisdom suggests? From the article: While Bach’s statement that the Wii is graphically underpowered compared to the first Xbox wasn...

Wii games that will feature online play

A lot of people seem disappointed that the Wii doesn’t have any online playable games. This will of course change in June with the release of Pokemon Battle Revolution, but what other games will feature Wi-Fi Connection online play? These titles have been confirmed to have online play: Battalion Wars 2 Forever Blue Guitar Hero III Mario Strikers Charged Pokemon Battle Revolution Super Smash ...

Super Mario Galaxy – GDC 2007 preview

Not sure if everyone saw this yet, even though the video has been out for a little while. Pretty amazing stuff going on with Mario these days. My head hurts when I watch that video. It looks like an incredibly hard game, but Nintendo isn’t really known for impossible control schemes. The art design is beautiful, even in YouTube quality. How excited are you for Super Mario Galaxy?
