Nintendo 3DS to receive Nintendo Video, Netflix

One of the most interesting features of the 3DS is its ability to play 3D video content. In the US, the only 3D video content to be found was a trailer for Green Lantern and a video feature jumping dogs. That is all about to change.

What Nintendo purchase do you regret most?

I’m sure I got burned in the 8, 16, and 32-bit days. But the one Nintendo game I most regret buying was Star Fox Adventures Assault for GameCube. Before plopping down for it, I hadn’t bought a Star Fox game game since the original gangster version for SNES. I thought it would similarly be fun. It wasn’t. It sucked. It was obviously intended for a much younger audience. $50’gon...

The Legend of Zelda: Portal gun edition

Portal is undoubtedly one of the most innovative titles to come along this generation, but imagine if the portal gun was an item in the next Zelda title. That’s exactly what the fine folks Dorkly have done, giving Link the power of portals with hilarious results. I have always wanted to take my favorite items from certain franchises into others, and what better place to start than with the p...

What game are playing the most this week?

I’m still knee deep in Advance Tour, even though I’ve maxed out my single player. So. Fun. You?

Rumor: Operation Rainfall already a success, Xenoblade NTSC localization complete

According to sources who wish to remain anonymous (don’t they all) localization of Xenoblade for the US was completed just before this year’s E3. The folks over at Operation Rainfall have stated on their blog that Xenoblade is ready for NTSC territories, while the Last Story localization is well underway. This news would be a huge boon for Wii owners looking to milk their little white...

Satoru Iwata has been listening, is not pleased with lack of games on Wii

It?s funny how much Nintendo has changed in the last decade. For the first time in its history, Nintendo was no longer the market leader as the Sony Playstation had broken onto the scene and easily ran away with the lion?s share of the console market. The Playstation 2 was beginning to pick up where its predecessor left off, and Nintendo was itself readying its own answer in the Gamecube.

Concept designs of Infendo’s unreleased console leaked to internet

In a corporate debacle of elephantine proportions, images of Infendo’s unreleased 2D console controller leaked to the internet today, brining the information superhighway to its knees. “Who knew there was this much interest in the horse and buggy of console gaming,” said world wide web creator Tim Berners-Lee, in reaction to the event. “Anyways, isn’t this thing like ...

Majora’s Mask was all just a dream

Yoshiaki Koizumi, known for his work with the Mario and Legend of Zelda games likes to daydream. In the August issue of Official Nintendo Magazine UK, Koizumi speaks of how he thought up the idea of the three-day system found in Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. “Occasionally I also take images from dreams. Perhaps I am a little bit different from Mr Miyamoto in that sense. So if I could...

Reggie on Wii U: Online experience will be robust, takes jab at Sony and Microsoft

While there have been no concrete details on the online infrastructure of Wii U, Nintendo has flat out stated they need to do better. While the launch of the eshop for 3DS was a nice start, if Nintendo is serious about offering a service comperable to Microsoft’s Xbox Live or Sony’s Playstation Network, they have a long way to go.
