Square Enix has officially announced today that Dream Drop Distance will be released in North America on July 31st, 2012!  What does this mean for the die hard fans?  It means that we only need to dodge the spoilers for another 3 months and 3 weeks (APPROX.)! See below for the official press release from Square Enix:

What do Scrooge McDuck, Suikoden, Sega Genesis and Henry Hatsworth have in common? The answer lies in a potential 3DS masterpiece.

The April Nintendo Power reveals many details about the forthcoming Epic Mickey sequels. The Wii game sounds solid, but — frankly — 3DS steals the show, here. While Wii, 360 and PS3 are all getting The Power of Two — a rather straightforward sequel  to 2010’s fun-but-flawed Disney twist — 3DS is getting an entirely different game, and it’s a gorgeous sprite-base...

The 3DS gets a redesign: What the next iteration of 3DS needs to get right.

The 3DS just celebrated its first birthday last month, and the numbers don’t lie. Year one, 17.08 million units sold. That’s nothing to sneeze about. Couple that in with the five games that have already reached the million sales mark and it’s plain to see that Nintendo’s fifth generation handheld is a running success. There are plenty of games on the horizon, and I would be...

Wii U: MMORPG’s New Home?

We seem to know so much, and too little about the next evolution of the Nintendo Entertainment System.  The rumors are spreading like Mono at a high school prom.  Many game developers have expressed their excitement towards the console and seem to tout the potential for the new device.    Ubi Soft has stated: “We have big plans for Wii U. Our intention is to be the number one third party on Wii U,...

The Case for an Achievement System on Nintendo Consoles

I admit it. I’m an achievement junkie. Well, to be clear, I’m a trophy junkie, since I own a PS3, but “achievements” is the more common term. It’s fun to see what I have accomplished in the games I’ve played and it’s also fun to see what my friends have pulled off. The problem is that I’m just not as passionate about Playstation games as I am about Nintendo games. This is why I would like to see a...
