Here are the number one Wii and DS games sold around the world this week:
Wii
North America: Wii Play
Japan: Dragon Quest Swords: Kamen no Joou to Kagami no Tou
UK: Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
DS
North America: Pokemon Diamond
Japan: Zelda no Densetsu: Mugen no Sunadokei
UK: More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima
Most of the list is identical to last week, with Japan being the exception. Dragon Quest Swords for Wii debuts at number one with Phantom Hourglass retaking the #1 spot from the witch touching game.
I maintain my theory of North American Wii Play sales being directly proportionate to more Wii consoles being in stock. Personally, I have seen seven Wiis sitting at a Target (sold out quickly thereafter) and know someone who has been looking since November that finally bought one.
