Weekend Discussion: Family Gaming

I think we can all agree that Nintendo has quite a reputation at being a family friendly company, and they will not waiver from that image anytime soon.  With a recent study stating that approximately 74% of Mothers play video games we can assume that Nintendo will continue to tailor their games to both parents and children alike.  Many of Nintendo’s games seem to easily transcend age, games such as Mario for example, and are easily shared amongst all members of the family.

What are some of your favorite family gaming memories?  Do you think that Sony, Microsoft and Ouya can, or have, created just as much of a family friendly environment as Nintendo, or will they ever compare?
