Nintendo supports Japan with coins

By now, most of the world is aware of the horrific chain of events that occurred in Japan less than a week ago. We are still unsure of the exact amount of damage that the earthquake has caused, but that hasn’t stopped people all over the world from doing what they could to help out. Now the house that Mario built is giving back as well

Nintendo has said that the company will donate 300 million yen (about $3.6 million USD) to the earthquake relief efforts. Nintendo was not alone among Japanese video game publishers as Namco Bandai, Tecmo Koei, Sega and Sony have all announced they would be giving cash donations.

It is great to see some major names in the industry giving back. Remember, it isn’t to late for you to do your part as well!
