In a Nintendo corporate management meeting today, president Satoru Iwata stated that Wii would be a failure if the system didn’t sell more units than the GameCube. He also claimed that more powerful systems create longer loading times. Regarding Wii’s software offering he had this to say: “We have been intensifying the software development, both internally at Nintendo and at developers outside the company, in order to prepare aggressive software lineup for Wii at and after the launch.”
If that wasn’t enough, Miyamoto stated that he was working on a “secret project” that will be unveiled in six months? MEGATON!!! jk. Who knows, but it should be interesting.
In related news, Mario inventor Shiggy Miyamoto spoke with Digital Trends for a nice little interview here. Oh yeah, and Nintendo Power has just revealed that both Wii and GameCube versions of Zelda: Twilight Princess are identical. Oh how I wish I had a crystal ball so as how to determine which edition will be better.
