Full Retail Price vs. Bargain Bin

Everyone who has visited a Gamestop or EB Games is familiar with the bargain bin, featuring (approximately) year old games at a reduced price. I’ve picked a few gems out of the bargain bin for my Gamecube, including Pikmin 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, and Madden 2005. It lets you experience games you probably wouldn’t buy at full retail while saving a few bucks in the process. A great deal overall, if you don’t mind waiting.

At the same time, I’ve noticed a trend in my gaming habits. Every title I’ve bought at full retail price I have completed. When I buy a game out of the bargain bin, I may or may not finish it. Not that the games are bad, I just lose interest. Do I treat bargain bin games with less value because they do not cost as much? Do I complete full retail price games because of the excitement generated around its release?

These are questions I have trouble answering, but I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
