As much as some may piss and moan about the lack of HD on the Wii, it’s just not that big of a deal, and won’t be for some time.
Now, when HD is ubiquitous, and “hardcore” developers like Epic Games can say 80% of their customers play core games in HD, and not just 50%; and companies like Microsoft ship HD cables, you know, in the box that contains their HD consoles, you’ll see an HD-capable console from Nintendo. And at that time you’ll naturally see pro-HD streaming quotes from Netflix CEOs. However, by that time, ironically, HD still won’t be that big of a deal, because it will simply be the Way Things Are.
